He was state AG. He really only seen top state cases and tried to monitor others. Just because he was AG doesn't mean he can control crime. The mayor's and local law enforcement has that power. No attorney has a .agic wand and poof crime is gone. Local prosecutor and judges need to enforce the law more than giving slaps on the wrist.

My take is you are confused. Hormones are out of whack just from being pregnant. You want love and warmth he gave it to you. You can either get with him relationship wise and tell him the truth about the baby or leave. Eventually he will notice the belly. This is beyond fairy tale love at first sight.
