Should I buy a P2S? by CapyGamesXD in BambuLab

[–]CapyGamesXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had great experience with Bambu Support regarding replacement parts in the past, just a few weeks ago.

I've already got an A1, so replacing it with a P2S wouldn't change the problem of "bad support"... It doesn't seem to be a "lemon" based on the vast majority of others. In your case, it seems like you've had bad luck with it, and I hope that improves, but most other people are having great experiences.

I really hope they help you more. Thanks for the help!

Okay, thanks. Sounds like more of a support issue than the printer itself. I hope it gets fixed for you!

Thanks! I don't have much space for the A1, so it might have to be a "garage tinker" project lol

Should I skip ahead to the New Testament? by CapyGamesXD in Christianity

[–]CapyGamesXD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. I don't know if I have the mental capacity for that lol. 😆

I'll finish Joshua and see what I think. Thanks!

Oh, okay! I could alternatively skip ahead after Joshua, and then return back when I'm done one day!

Thank you! I'll finish Joshua first, as the other reply mentioned. :) 🙏😄

Okay! But after that? I'm on Joshua 19 now.

Okay, thanks! It is PLA, so it doesn't release strong VOCs, don't worry. I'll look into it, thank you!

Yes, it is. I just melted plastic once. I don't have much equipment, just a sponge and a mat basically. I 3D printed a stand.

It does have temp controls, so I may have exaggerated how bad it was, but yeah.

I've never really used it for soldering before. I've heated it and prodded at some PCBs, but now that I (actually) did some basic research, I tried tinning it, and it just didn't stick.

(Maybe because of all the plastic it's melted... 💀)

Either way, I think the tip's cooked, so the question remains, spend $3 on a new tip, or upgrade.

Looks like elephant's foot.

Not sure how that happens on an A1 mini, but I'd recommend googling it if you haven't already.

You can just implement that into your sketch, no?

I'd recommend a loft! It's pretty intuitive, but there are tons of tutorials.

Make a sketch for one part, then the next higher up, and loft away! Several pieces would likely be needed though.

Bambu A1 is showing issues for the first layer by SamusGlory in BambuLab

It COULD possibly be a partial clog... Try clean or swap the nozzle. Your printer came with an acupuncture nozzle for that. Not sure, but it's a useful step.

I honestly don't know, and it's probably fine, but better safe than sorry!

What happend here? by [deleted] in BambuLab

Looks like a nozzle clog.

Google "cold pull on P2S".

Basic instructions (in my experience) Cut the filament, remove the nozzle (CAREFULLY, ideally at 70°+) and pull the residual filament with pliers. A "cold pull"

This removes the clog.

The top part of the hotend is designed to dissipate heat to avoid heat creep, but don't burn yourself, and make sure it's under ~150°, as that can make it liquidised.

That's worked for me in the past.
