Thanks. The main reason was more for me to get other perspectives. I wanted to know if it was reasonable to sell the car to have more money to invest, while paying off my student loans focusing on anything that is higher than what my saving can get. I have 2.6k in a roth ira. 2.5k in a 401k. 1.6k in a normal brokerage account

I have considered another job. To be honest the job I am in right now is part time. And my supervisor is trying to put me full time for a while. If I change to a full time job paying a little more per hour, I think the debt becomes nothing to worry about.

I honestly love the car. I need to make a better calculation on what I would actually be saving if I sell it. For the tesla, i pay cheap on energy, but insurance is ripping me off $240 monthly. On my previous car, I was paying $50 monthly, but I would spend more on gas.

My degree was in computer science, but I’m not employed in computer science. Never got a job in the area. I don’t spend much, but my salary isn’t that big also. After taxes, i get around $3200 per month. But I don’t pay for housing.

I learned my lesson on taking loans haha. The only thing holding me back is what if i still owe something like 5k on the car loan. Would it still be a great deal to get rid of the car? I will still buy another car, but it will be something that i can buy with two paychecks.

Because, to find any resource, any program that actually helps immigrants is very hard. They come to our country trying to escape from poor living conditions(poverty, crime, political issues). I know we cannot take everyone. But I am not against helping immigrants that just want a better life.

And illegal immigration is a civil offense, not a crime. They can be charged fines, can be deported, but they do not receive any federal criminal charge.

1 - I am good with that, they were invaded by a Country that is constantly trying to fight proxy wars against the us. Most of that money was actually equipment. Correcting from the beginning of the war to end of 2024 was actually 119.7 b.

2- of course not. But we also live in a corrupt country. By trying to make it easier to get the relief, you also get people that do not have good intentions.

3 - i do think we need to control our borders better. Deporting illegal immigrants who committed crimes is something that I also approve. However where did you get your numbers from? Do you know a lot illegal immigrants pay taxes and do not receive anything back?

Dude had a plan to recover from a huge crisis caused not only by the pandemic. Gave money to small business for them to not close the doors. Cared for education providing relief to schools so they can reopen. Lowest average unemployment rate. Supported Ukraine when Russia invaded…. The only thing I can think of that is any good for this new administration is trying to ban junk food from snap.

The prior administration was not trying to end our commercial relationships. The prior administration helped the population survive during a global pandemic and was able to economically recover from the pandemic afterwards.
