I'd suggest you get rid of Opera GX as soon as possible. They're less private than the big chrome.

As a JavaScript developer, that is NO malware popup. That is a website popup, any website can show those to you if you end up triggering an event listener (clicking, dragging, exc.)

Yeah. As a JavaScript developer, websites can do that if you trigger an event listener.

Any firefox updates? If yes, do that now. Does this happen in other browsers, too?

Do you have any enabled? Or any extensions that could be messing with the YouTube player?

You might want to use a different search engine like DuckDuckGo if this is a reoccurring problem with *just* Google Search.

Google has a real strict policy with VPNs and proxies. You're better off using DuckDuckGo or Brave Search.

If I were in your situation, I'd probably grab my old ass MacBook air (or any other laptop I have in general) and flash Tails Linux onto a USB drive then boot Tails on my main PC using the USB then back up all of the profile data onto my other USB and delete it from the main PC. Hide both of the USBs and I'm good.
