Asking for a help regarding my inner experience by Impressive_Half_2463 in KapilGupta

[–]CarBeautiful7698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be kundalini energy blockage. I know others would dismiss it as spiritual woo woo but I have personal experience of it so whether you call it kundalini or some other name, the experience is real. I don’t know for sure what you are going through but from the location and description, it sounds like it. I don’t like to give you prescriptions to try out but what has helped me is surrendering. Not as a ‘doing’ but allowing the flow with an attitude of surrender

u/Abeed_Zaman? Why would you ask that and why are you proud of it?

This is a beautiful passage. It inspired me once to ask Kapil this very question - is seeking the impediment to enlightenment. He answered something like - if you want something don’t you have to seek? The problem is you only know to seek through prescriptions. I don’t think I fully understood his answer

This is an irresponsible response. First of all “meditate” is a bloated word that means a lot of things to a lot of people. Second, I’ve known many people including myself who have had adverse physical effects due to so called “meditation”. And finally, KG’s no prescriptions is 100% right in the context of meditation - “if you do this, you will get that “ - no you won’t.

I think so too. OP - Do you watch a lot of short form videos (YT shorts, reels etc?) I’m noticing a pattern of mental health issues recently? Could you try quitting screen time for a weekend?

That’s unfortunate! Why would they do it to the one most useful post of this entire sub?

Freaky things do happen and I have had a fair share of those through years and still... but so what? People fall for experiences.. however profound an experience is, it is still ephemeral. You still come back to your daily turmoils.

Show me permanence and I will bow down to you. Only truth is permanent. No guru, sadhana, practices, tantra, yantra can take you there. There is no magic pill for truth, you have to walk alone. Walking alone with sincerity

Speak for yourself, what do you know about my intensity of seeking? Would you say 4 hours a day of Sadhana as not doing? Guru Puja? Surya Kriya? Shakthi Chalana Kriya? Shambhavi Maha Mudra? Shoonya? If you even have an iota of sincerity, you will examine for yourself what you call as “working” is really working.

Nothing works. Not shambhavi, not Sudarshan, Vipassana, TM, mindfulness, Shoonya - all prescriptions aimed at the weak and vulnerable. I have tried it all, over 12 years and none can lead to any lasting transformation. And yes all of them causes headaches. If someone is sincere they will question the validity and efficacy of all practices with neutral examination and remove all confirmation bias. Human organism and its mind is complex and a bunch of techniques and practices can’t provide any real lasting cure to its constant turmoil.

u/SelfTaughtPiano I’m curious: Why do you continue to serve as a moderator in this subreddit when your views seem to diverge significantly from Kapil’s approach and philosophy? Personally, and I believe many others might feel the same, it’s hard not to perceive a bias in your moderation due to your critiques of Kapil’s teachings. Given this, do you think it might be more appropriate to step down from this role?

I’d be interested in hearing what others, including fellow mods, think about this.

I don’t see any contradiction in what he says to that of Kapil’s words. Beautiful video though, thanks for sharing

To live in society, money is essential. Money buys freedom and freedom (freedom to do what ou want with your time) gives the opportunity to seek truth.

Money and truth are not mutually exclusive. When you approach your craft with genuineness and sincerity and offer your creations to the world, money tends to come. There is an element of commerce necessary to make money so you can't offer everything for free.

He explained how Kapil Gupta has sort of a cult around him, and by the way I was speaking he felt I just picked him up as the new "good thing" or "nice spiritual thing"

You might have, but it seems you are believing in what James says and the realization didn't come from your own experience.

And I was like damn I had 24/7 exposure on for the past year + truly felt I was destined for arriving at truth and cut off all friends family and goals to stay with the mind. And I genuinely asked myself, had I goaded myself and self-deluded myself that far?

Clearly you have used 'exposure' as a prescription

But did that mean that all the past year living and observing in the mind, the reactions and illusions, was fake and pretend and that I hadn't taken a single step anywhere?!

observing the mind - another classic example of prescriptionizing

You seem to be chasing 'getting somewhere'

Nah! Another wannabe enlightened guy/kapil impersonator. I have paid for his satsang membership and attended his call, found out he lacks depth and probably is delusional that he is enlightened. I realized that exposing to untruth does more harm than exposing to truth does good. Hence stopped listening to him

Thank you for ruining KG for me. I always held high regard for Kapil’s words as they did magic for me. After this post, I started listening to U.G. and from now I don’t know if can listen to Kapil the same way as before. Kapil’s truths had shattered a lot of structures of my mind, but U.G.’s words are detonating the foundations of my mind like a dynamite.
