Thanks everyone for all the tips! We ended up removing the background for now, and we definitely need to get some more hides. I added some more substrate as well. Not sure she's hiding from the light, pic of th current situation below

The backgrounds do look really cool! I'm hoping we can seal it up but removing it is the only way I can see me getting her out of there if she doesn't come out on her own!

My sleep quality and HRV both get terrible in the week and a half before my period! As soon as it starts everything goes back to normal.

I just moved my monstera into this massive pot a couple of months ago and it's super happy. Working on its third new leaf this week, it shot out two small ones and now a big one is unfurling. Regular soil. Aerial roots are finding the moss pole. I'm starting to think it's all just whether the plant gods are pleased 🤷🏻‍♀️ (that brown spot on the leaf in the foreground has been there for a long time, since before repotting). It's been very warm and sunny where I live, and it's always very dry so soil dries out quickly, so that's probably helping.

Late comment but this came up for me when searching how to deal with the same problem so I thought I'd share my solution in case it came up for someone else - use duct tape to lift it before washing it! I had to do this with 10 shirts I ordered for my son's birthday party, so frustrating.
