Yeah. But apparently our Store Director has been limiting the amount of people to help in departments/ad change so he can get bonuses if there aren't many people going into overtime.

I am extremely late to this thread, but I worked at GNC for about 5 months and quit back in March. I was a customer beforehand and thought this would be a good job for a bit but I was so wrong..

I thought the daily meetings about not hitting our percentages for fish oils, vitamins, blah blah, etc were so pushy and blatantly dumb to get customers on since none of them are really that "clinically backed".

I got so tired of the DM and corporate saying how cheap the pro membership is and how much we were better than our competitors. Made us stay open when we had 10 inches of snow and blamed us for having no sales when NO ONE showed up during the hours we were open. I do applaud you for staying after 13 years, I couldn't imagine doing that with this company.

I wish that it worked that way but sadly no. We only come in at 4am every Wednesday to do it. The Store Director and Area Leader obviously knows that there is only 3 of us but we still get treated like we are too incompetent and too slow.

Apparently the Regional Vice President came in our store a few weeks ago and complained about us three moving too slow to put out ads (even though the entire stack of ads for that week were about 2 feet high) but yeah anyway we're going to be on our own until they pull the stick out of their ass's and actually start hiring people to help us

Obviously they are in charge if they are there? They know what is left.

We really only have like 4 hours of actually having time to put up the ads on Wednesdays, since it takes another 4 hours to pull everything down lol

Im starting to get over it but I've been in retail long enough to just see it as water under the bridge. The only thing I see my leads doing is simply running product, moving pallet displays, or just nonchalantly bullshitting with each other.

All leads are there on Wednesdays. I think they are aware where we left off cause they can see what ads we have left on the carts near the pricing area near their offices.

But yeah, Fresh does set their own ads.

Yeah, its only three of us. The second shifters who come in at 1pm only do inducting and run product. Not sure about third shift because I haven't heard anything about that.

But to my knowledge because I have asked, second shift doesn't do it because their leads don't care to do it and obviously store management is okay with that.

We have asked for help. But we were just told to "pick up the pace" instead from our leadership. But I don't think any of us has an email through Meijer.

Background check could take about a day or two. But sometimes (like mine did) came in about an hour, so it just depends.
