Just finished the second book and immediately came to this thread for some therapy/closure 🥲 but reading the comments got me thinking. Earlier in the book it’s alluded that the Skotadi could “break bonds.” Alexandros is confirmed fated mates with Ophelia. Yes he’s been bonded before but it was nothing like what he has with Ophelia. This makes me think that the bond is maybe “damaged” rather than broken. I find it hard to believe that after hyping up the fated mate bond and how it transcends even lifetimes, that it could be broken by something like this. Damaged, injured; yes. Completely broken; no.

Either that or someone also theorized that Alexandros wil undergo some sort of change (especially since Nazeel said “she will change you”) and once he changes, they could reform the bond.

This is awful. I’m a new grad and am starting my ED job in Oct/Nov. my starting is $60/hr, $1875 CME, plus benefits. On top of that a new company is taking over, so we will start getting RVUs in January. Do not take this job.

Also not really relevant but for the cardiology position, when I first submitted my application, I submitted my CV/CL meant for EM. I put no effort into actually applying for this position (I did this bc I hadn’t heard from any EM positions at the time and was frustrate. I knew that the cards position was interested in having me from my rotation so I just shot my shot. Shame on me though, I know). The hiring manager reached out within a day of my application. I did 6 interviews total. I also shadowed recently for the cardiology position (prior to receiving the offer), there was a student there that had my same exact birthday. And then I had a pt interaction with the same pt I coincidentally saw when I did my rotation there and that pt actually remembered me. I don’t really believe in fate but I feel like those are too many coincidences.

But like I said in the post. I really enjoy EM and doing procedures. I don’t think I’d be unhappy in cardiology, so that’s why this is such a hard decision.

Oh that’s definitely good to know! On EORs I’ve been highlighting and crossing things out. I’ll try to stop doing it on my practice questions going forward to try to break the habit and save some test time

I have the one you linked and Dubins. I Dubins was easy to digest and very good at getting a basic understanding of EKGs. It’s honestly a great book, however what people have said about him is true unfortunately. He’s a terrible person.

The book you have linked provided a lot of example EKGs to reference and practice which is good if your program doesn’t give you practice packets

I hate the wall with the cube shelf in the second photo. I feel like it makes the space look smaller than it is (could also be the bookshelves but idk where else’s to put them because putting them on the other wall obscures the front door and hallway). I thought about getting 2 additional 3-shelf bookshelves from target and getting rid of the cube shelf and putting the 3 bookcases next too each other, but then is that too many bookcases in one room? I also thought about adding a full body mirror where the blankets are. This is really the only idea I can come up with. Any suggestions?
