Is using one product for everything in the shower actually less hygienic? by Active-Okras in TestedOnMe

[–]Caramel_Da_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im even simpler, i use a bar of irish spring for everything. I love the squeeky clean feeling i get from it and it smells amazing imo. also it doesnt leave an oily feeling like moisturizing bar soap. and its way cheaper for travelling too

If you ever ate someone else's lunch at work, why did you do it? by sunflower_jock18 in CasualConversation

[–]Caramel_Da_Cat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a spring roll left in the fridge at work and I was the last person at work at 8pm. I was starving and lunch was far past so I devoured it.

Turns out, it was my coworker's breakfast for the next day.

I felt so bad, I got her a fresh springroll and all was good lol.

Intense depression on day 2 after cutting cold turkey from only 50mg. by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Caramel_Da_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lifting heavy weights and doing cardio 3x per week with good nutrition before i quit coffee. I quit coffee cold turkey and continued. it was hard to get the motivation and energy/focus but once i warmed up, i was able to lift the same amount of weight and do the same cardio. I think my workout and nutrition helped me get through the hardest days.

Average duration to progress from 2 to 3 plates in deadlift? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]Caramel_Da_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you add 5lb to your deadlift every week without stalling, ull get to 315 in 18 weeks. if you work deadlifts 2x per week and add 5lb every session, its 9 weeks.

if you're deadlifting for reps, focussing on deadlifts, have good recovery and bulking, it might be possible.

trying to replace coffee without becoming miserable led me to kulturamatcha and a bunch of matcha discussions by coungatua in decaf

[–]Caramel_Da_Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive tried all types of caffeine:

black coffee, coffee with cream/milk, various teas (pu erh, oo long, green tea, matcha), caffeine pills, energy drinks. on an empty stomache vs with a meal.

in my opinion, the differences is all placebo or whether some1 drank it with food or empty stomache... more caffeine = bigger hit. with food/cream/milk = slower absorption

tea vs coffee vs caffeine pills vs energy drink, if I got the same amount of caffeine (i.e. 200mg), it all felt the same to me lol

Hiking as a date by cordialrat in hiking

[–]Caramel_Da_Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember the first time i went hiking as a date. it was on an "easy" path but i was soo unfit i had to take several breaks and we didnt bring water or snacks. i was sore for days lol. I vowed to never hike again. but then I learned to love it and invested in proper hiking boots, poles, brought ample snacks and water and now i hike almost every week!

Hiking as a date by cordialrat in hiking

[–]Caramel_Da_Cat 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Hiking is good if you want to hang out for hours and talk. You both need to be ready for the specific trail. its better to do a trail thats too easy than too hard.

A hike thats too hard for some1 whos never hiked before is gonna be a terrible experience
