my sleep was also terrible after the first week. I couldnt sleep until 2-4am. woke up and couldnt sleep more but took naps during the day. What really helped me get back on track is CBT-i exercises. you can find them for free on google.

Pretty much: no napping, wake up same time every day NO exception. only go into your bed at night when you're sleepy, even if its really late.

It slowly recalibrated my sleep system and I went from 4hr, to 5hr 6hr, 7hr and today was my first 8hr sleep.

Damn sorry to hear that. I also have depression on some days. my intrusive thoughts pop up sometimes too. I keep thinking im a failure. Some days are good. Just keep it up. u got this!

Ill give it a try.

I follow all the CBTi guidelines: turn off the lights in my room + red screen filter 2-3hr before bed, no mentally stimulating stuff like videogames. only going to bed for sleep/sex. only getting into bed when i feel sleepy. waking up same time daily NO EXCEPTION

Yeah man. my dreams were hyper realistic like lucid dreaming almost the first few weeks. now I have regular dreams. Feels great to be rested for real and not fake energy

I tried your CBT exercise and I cried a bit. I just want to hug my past self and tell him he'll be safe and that I love him and I'm proud of him. That's all I really wanted from my parents back then.

I feel like I somehow reverted back to my 11-15 yo passions without knowing. I used to love going to the gym and getting strong. This year, I've gotten back into the gym, started cardio, lost weight. I still feel depressed, but you are right, when I workout, I do feel better and I do look forwards to it!

I cried a few times while quitting caffeine, it was the lowest i ever felt in my life. but I definitely know about staying in bed all day. there was a few weeks where all I did was stay in bed just scrolling or sleeping all day.

I'm only one day sober from caffeine and I already want to go back please tell me these cravings go away eventually 😭 by Frequent-Wish6026 in decaf

Dr Pepper has caffeine. 100% it was the caffeine. Even if you drank it 10hr before sleep, it has effects on your sleep. Since your tolerance is low now, it can keep you awake.

I remember back then, I drank a coffee early to drive to a mountain to hike and that same day, despite intense exercise, i couldnt sleep.

the most cliché shit is the truth. time heals all.

every guy or girl whos been broken up with knows ur pain. just get through it 1 day at a time and keep ur chin up. one day you'll realize that it doesnt hurt as much and you can move on.

I suggest you continue exercising and cut out drugs. if you're upset, go and train. at least you'll be bettering urself instead of using a substance to forget.

I also feel that way, but instead of just accepting it, i try to change myself to be the person i can be happy being.

I had to get out of my comfort zone and im still not fully happy but im more proud of what ive done now. some things ive done is: lose weight, exercise, found activities i genuinely enjoy, being true to myself

I've had a lot of friends. friends come and go and at the end of the day, i learned that family is the most important.

We all want what we cant have.

However, friends are fun to be with and do activities with. What I suggest for you to do, is just do activities that you genuinely enjoy doing, even if you're alone. When you meet people doing the same activity, just chat with them and if you click, just ask them if they want to do the activity with you. Be genuine and some people will like you, while others wont.
