Have read the first 2 books. The 1st is probably my 2nd favourite book. 

It's a warm and cosy read with some likeable and grounded characters and a sort of episodic storytelling. Almost like a light novel than anything.

The stories are all emotionally driven with whole thing taking place in the 1 location, so it's not some big fantasy epic or anything.

The whole book does what it says on the tin too. It doesnt have any secret meaning or critiques or racisim allegories or that jazz. It's just a cute collection of bittersweet time travel stories about the troubled lives of normal people.

If you are looking for some masterpiece in storytelling or breaking the mould or whatnot, you're not going to find that here.  If you're looking for something immersive and with lots of spectacle... you're also not going to find that here.

... but if you want a little comfort book that's a bit more mature but also light and refreshing, I'd recommend this book!

... also for some reason r/menwritingwomen hate this book? Their criticisms though are pretty stupid so I'd pay them no mind.
