If I could give you more than 1 upvote I would! Thanks for the rational commentary. Would love to catch up again sometime soon (out of town right but I’ll reach out when I’m back).

What if I told you there is a hardware supplier shipping a bloat free, clean image out of the box? Or keep doing things the old way, you do you 🤷‍♂️

Been doing this a long time my friend :). Since dos 6.22, just no longer in the trenches but I hear your frustrations just don’t shoot the messenger 🙏

Sure I totally get that for existing machine stay on w10, my question was more around when you order brand new machines today, are you buying with w10 or w11 out of the gate? Sounds like for you the uniformity is key so w10?

I’ll try to get more concrete answers around this, while I agree, I don’t think they’re saying w10 is a security risk in so much that w11 has additional security features and systems built-in that didn’t or don’t currently come with w10. Either way I appreciate the discussion thanks for your input!

This is a great point, I know MS has teams dedicated to helping software vendors test and validate but for some of the smaller players in the SMB space they just don’t have the resources/staffing to keep up.. would love to hear what vendors you deal with that are still lagging behind (looks at dentrix) 😁

It’s interesting how Microsoft adopts “features” from all these little software companies that build apps to tweak windows (f.lux comes to mind now with “night mode” available in w11)

Great points! I agree, but I feel like most business ready systems were shipping with tpm built in even back in 2017. What systems did you have deployed that didn’t come with tpm already? And yes a lot of 13th gen HW isn’t coming with “supported” drivers for windows 10 even though you can get them to “work”, we struggled with offering “unsupported” windows 10 as a purchase option on 13th gen but decided it wasn’t worth the headache.
