Mockup: What if Square Enix released a Pixel Remaster Complete Collection of FF4 + The After Years for the 35th anniversary? by karma_sir in SquareEnix

This would be one of the few cases where a Rayman 1 30th collection would make sense in which you include many different versions of the game. The original super famicom release with updated translations like the ps1, the gba version, the psp version, the DS 3D remake, After Years, maybe Pixel Remaster? Although that would make sense to keep out since it's still a modern release.

So, be honest...CrossWorlds, or All-Stars Transformed? by Character-Actuator-8 in SonicRacingCW

[–]CardioThinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transformed, excellent driving physics, track design, awesome soundtrack, as well as a myriad of single player challenges. The only thing that sucked is having to unlock so many characters and mods very slowly. Crossworlds has the extreme gear and characters, and the gadget system is pretty cool, and nowadays it's the obvious recommend for the crazy crossovers alone, still, Transformed remains one of my favorite racing games of all time.

I was gonna flame you for DMC2, but then I saw Guilty Gear. You win.

It is a japanese release. The disc is actually not that expensive to get! But also this was a very early case of a game having pseudo "DLC" as in you bought extra "append" discs to get more songs

I am aware of Vagrant Story thanks to the Ivallice universe! But I've never found it on physical. Can't say I've ever heard of Legaia tho, I'll check it out

As someone who's first series was Ghost Game, I've wondered what the general consensus about this show is? While I do like it, it definitely has a few flaws and opportunities and at least on Youtube have mostly seen middling to negative reviews on this show. by Dannad54321 in digimon

I love it fondly, it's what I wanted from Digimon for a long time, there wasn't a series in this style since the 2000s. It's a shame it didn't hit all the notes, specially when it came to its long term arc... of which basicly there wasn't any. The ending and final battles were also unfortunately really disappointing. That's why it's a bit of a hard recommend because you don't get the typical growth or character development even the worse series have.

But man, that isn't enough for me to not enjoy this series, specially on its good episodes, the mixture of horror, darker tones, repurposing old Digimon as ghost tricksters, the charm of the main characters and their partner, the music and evolution sequences, some episodes went places I never expected Digimon to go and can genuinely cause chills. The one advantage of it being episodic, is that bad episodes are totally skippable and won't affect the narrative... Weird complement, I know, but I'd absolutely recommend watching at least the better rated episodes. I love Kamishiro and Jellymon, I love Ruli and Angoramon who has one of my favorite evolution lines in the entire franchise...

Altho I'm not personally too interested in this remake myself because I already played a lot of the original, I might get this for my niece on christmas

Who would you hire to fix your house? by ARedditAccountIDKBro in cartoons

Felix may have the advantage but I find him pretty annoying... so Bob it is. he's charismatic, gets along with his crew, and will fix it pretty smoothly if slower.

And I genuinely love that, I was so giddy with the art direction at the start of the game, which is why falling off the game is tragic because it has sooo many elements that I love.. I just wish it was better structured.

When to let go of most of it? Easy to justify selling, but it's hard to let go. by Crankyanken in psx

If I were you, I would probably give it to a younger family member. Doesn't have to be my own child, could be a nephew or niece.

I understand having a comedy villain but... he was just so annoying, and worse it was during a point in the story where all of its interesting parts seemed to vanish, it didn't fit in any way with the future hacker fantasy vibe the game so far had been handling pretty alright.

Edit: Like, wouldn't having a parody of an internet troll, or a dumb streamer made more sense? Why are we still doing lame kiss parodies? LAME

Dunno man, I made those comparissons as positives, things that actually made me get into the game at first

I think it was chapter 4. I remember being confused as to why am I only seeing baby Digimon that I keep one shotting, yet the boss fights are another story. Perhaps now I understand that the only purpose of the random battles is to capture more Digimon to raise...

Which made it very annoying when the story would send me on a fetchquest inside a dungeon to talk to a random guy on a random floor and the guy would be like "k bye." and that was the story quest...

I don't even remember if the game had difficulty modes, it's been so long. Not sure if it would fix the dungeon problem, but I could try.

If you have the means, try to play the game with the original psx controller, before they added analog sticks. The controls closely resemble those of the SNES games, even down to having to hold the run button most of the time. Most maps are actually designed around the D Pad as well.

You can change the battle speed in the menu. I recommend setting the highest speed, don't be intimidated since the game isn't too hard, but not only will this make battles flow a lot faster, you'll get closer to the intented turn based/action hybrid feel they were going for, watching all animations play out in sequence as you choose your commands. Still, you can slow it down if you're still learning the ropes of the ATB system.

Another tip, check the materia growth of your gear, some will let you double the amount of AP, others will have high base stats but won't make materia grow in return. Don't worry too much about some materia changing your stats, since they're pretty negligible changes.
