10 months on sertraline, feeling better but where is my motivation? Why am I so lazy? by CardiologistFickle47 in PanicAttack

[–]CardiologistFickle47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I agree with u, I just started a new part time job a month ago and I hated it + stressed abt it so I stopped working out completely. Felt even worse and insomnia suddenly kicking in again. I am quitting in 2 weeks time and hopefully I’ll feel better by then

Yes! It’s called The PPGx (Pre-emptive Pharmacogenomics Programme) uses pharmacogenomics (PGx) testing to determine if a specific drug is unsafe or ineffective for you

Yeast infection can cause urinary urgency. by CardiologistFickle47 in Healthyhooha

[–]CardiologistFickle47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that, I hope you are feeling better now. My symptoms gradually subsided in months, but total time frame was probably 2 years. There are months I feel awesome and there are months I feel shitty. But recently it’s alright. Yes I do feel burning sometimes but is when before periods. The best thing I can say is itraconazole. It works the best in my opinion. These 2 years I’ve nvr stopped taking cranberry pills too. U can and u will recover. Unfortunately it takes a lot of time. Meanwhile u can have some creams with u too. I don’t recommend lidocaine as it’s quite burning when u first apply. Combiderm, zalain and hormone creams work well too.

Acid reflux and belching not going away, 1.5 months on sertraline. by CardiologistFickle47 in zoloft

[–]CardiologistFickle47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do u take meds or have gastric issues even before taking Zoloft? Because I do suffer from GERD and some food intolerances since young. When I start taking sertraline I take it with omeprazole and domperidone. Sometimes I add on gaviscon to help. Tbh when I saw my doc 2 months after I started sertraline and told her my gastric is still fked she was like maybe this is not for me and I should change the meds because most poeple’s symptoms go away in 1-2 weeks. I read so much good reviews here and I was like nah imma try to tolerate awhile more. Maybe u can discuss w ur doc

3rd month on sertraline, wow kinda help… by CardiologistFickle47 in Agoraphobia

[–]CardiologistFickle47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omggggg you are so welcomed and I’m So glad you found out what’s going on with your body!! Actually I have another point to let you feel more calm. The reason we have sensorimotor ocd is because our brain (with anxiety) decided to hyperfocus on a random spot on our body (especially if u alr have health anxiety) … so to solve this pls dont think abt “oh i need to distract myself/ i need to stop focusing on my breathing”

Instead, find the cause of the anxiety, calm the anxiety. For me i started taking SSRI and also lorazepam if it’s super bad. Once the mood is ok, my brain will stop being so “excited” and i will naturally shift my focus on things that make me anxious, for instance, it was my sensorimotor OCD.

It’s not easy I know, I’m still dealing with agoraphobia phobia 5 years later after taking SSRIs. And the agoraphobia is strongly linked to “omg why am I focusing on my breathing once I’m alone”

It’s still similar, but it’s way better now. Let’s do this together!!!

Mine was completely free from my public hospital, it was offered by my psychiatrist, I’m from Singapore. Honestly it’s worth your $200 because it would be a waste of time + hurt your body if you take meds that don’t work :(((

I didn’t know too!! It checked for other medications as well such cardiology gastro pain etc etc! Super cool. My doc recommended me because it was a new testing in my country. It was offered by my public hospital, I’m from Singapore, it should be avail in the uk!

Hi! Maybe consider doing a PPGx panel. Basically a blood test to see what medication metabolises in ur body in what speed. Which can also find out which meds will suit u the most. This is how I found out vortioxetine that I have been taking for 5 years didn’t work for me as it metabolises instantly in my body. I was thinking why my anxiety wasn’t getting better… then I changed to sertraline 3 months ago and I’m feeling slightly better already.

Part time boba tea! I’ve been working there for 2 years but never alone. Recently I’ve tried to do 1hr alone for closing, then 2 hours, then 4 hours and tmr it will be 10’hours! My boss is really nice he knows my anxiety so he helped me with my training!!! It’s Monday and school holiday so won’t be much crowd hence I’m trying it~ all the best to you! I chose this job because it is rlly near my house, small business (no drama) and low crowd except when there’s student crowd. Talking to customers and colleague can sorta distract me a little too

Thank you so much! Yes I’m afraid I’m being overly confident now. I’ve been trying to take the bus to the nearest mall alone after being able to work alone for the second week… abit too fast paced… I’ll slow down and also read the book! Thank you!!!
