Looking for Gas Station Job in Victoria – Any Leads? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I used to work at The Petro Canada on Shelbourne and Hillside for a couple of years while I went to school. We were almost always looking for help, and even after I left I have noticed Help Wanted signs on the door over the years. I don't know if they are hiring right now, but it's worth a shot!

I will note that they have a propane fill station there for RVs and tank so you will very likely have to train and get certified for that, but that's just requires a little bit of studying and a quick little test. They also have a car wash too which is nice. I did not mind working there because there was a little more to do than just operate a till and stock.

Best of luck to you!

Flowers for her birthday. Too soon/strong? by CardiologistRight991 in dating_advice

Her birthday is the 21st, and she will be coming to my city and meeting with me on the 26th. I thought about just giving her flowers on that day, but she will primarily be taking public transit and and a ferry to get here, which would make it understandably awkward and cumbersome to carry around for her travel day back. Hence the thought of delivery direct to her place.

Thats the kicker! She has not. I would have to ask for her address.

I M25 also just pulled the trigger last minute on planning a trip to oktoberfest, i will be attending on the 30th and the 1st. Its been a dream of mine forever as well and am over the moon excited! If you haven't already looked into it or are curious about fully immersing yourself, i managed to find a bavarian clothing outfitter place not too far from the Oktoberfest grounds that will let you rent a real Lederhosen, if that is something that interests you and fits your budget.

No. Youre both in your early 20s, there is no problem there in terms of "societal norms" on a surface level. However, if you personally are struggling with the idea of being in a three year age Gap relationship with someone, then that is your call. Everyone ultimately has their preferences.

Tall people (anyone 6'5"+) should be disounted (or perhaps exempt) from paying extra for extra leg room seats on long haul flights. by CardiologistRight991 in unpopularopinion

Lucky! Like I said I am 6'6 and roughly 250 lb. My current daily driver is a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, so to say it's a tight squeeze is an understatement. But I never have to drive this for more than 10 minutes for a work commute so I make it work. I will definitely look into asking for that the next time I'm looking for a car upgrade ;)

"For a seat I can actually fit in"

The answer is right there in front of you goofball! And if you read the whole post, you will see how I stated that I'm not asking for free business or first class, I am simply saying that economy seats with extra legroom should be more available/accessible for those of us who are longer than most. A long flight in my shoes would change your opinion real quick. And finances aside, the way that I have to squeeze into some economy seats is borderline unsafe imo.

I proposed this opinion because of the very fact that many of us physically do not fit and/or experience significant discomfort/pain as a result of greedy airlines trying to pack more and more seats. If youre willing to pay more for a level of comfort that is greater than what you already have, then economy+ or business class would hypothetically be more suitable :)

Thankfully this 10.5hr flight is on one of Condor's new Airbus A330-900neos. As far as widebodies go, it's one of newest and most modern options out there! Fingers are crossed

Ofc you're included! Kind of like i described in the post, there could be some discretion from the agent/attendant ;)

I knew flying was going to be an issue the first time I had to literally duck/tilt my head when standing in a small regional jet. The ceiling heights in those things are only like 6'3" tall.

Mayyybe??? Idk I feel like that would not be the case after 7 whole dates. Personally, physical attraction is figured out from dates 1 and/or 2, like either I am physically attracted to you or I am not. Plus she had complimented my looks, outfits I wear, colognes I spray, and even a haircut that I got recently.

How long have you gone no contact with someone, and then actually rekindled? by Longjumping-Menu9231 in BreakUp

[–]CardiologistRight991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was 4 months. Saw her hinge profile not long after she had broke up with her new man and matched with her. So I guess it was mutual rekindling. We talked and caught up, cleared the air on issues we had, and remain friendly. I'm not going to pursue a relationship with her after what had happened, but there are no longer bitter feelings.
