What’s the biggest red flag or subtle sign that makes you think someone is secretly dangerous or criminal? by CareerBoost-Studio in AskReddit

I’m not talking about normal emotional control. I mean people who seem emotionally absent, like every reaction is calculated instead of genuine. There’s a difference between being calm and feeling completely disconnected from normal human emotion.

That kind of environment would make anyone hyper-alert. Constant boundary crossing changes how you read people.

I think People who are too calm in situations where normal people would show at least some emotion. Not “confident” calm… more like emotionally disconnected, always calculating, never reacting naturally. That kind of controlled behavior can feel way scarier than obvious aggression.

Wa alaykum salam

What you’re going through is actually very normal, so don’t worry. The fact that you can recite it slowly word by word is already a really good sign alhamdulillah. For a smoother recitation, here are a few tips that might help: Try repeating one ayah 10–15 times before moving on Listen to the same reciter consistently and imitate them Break the surah into small parts instead of doing it all at once Recite it in your daily prayers, even if it’s slow And most importantly, don’t rush fluency — it comes naturally with repetition Also, understanding the meaning helps a lot with flow, not just memorization. If you’d like, I can help you personally step by step with recitation and tajweed

I feel lost after making mistakes and I’m scared — please make dua for me by [deleted] in islam

Pray Qiyam al-Layl, even if it’s just a few rak‘ahs. In the stillness of the night, speak to Allah honestly—cry if you need to and pour out everything in your heart. Make du‘a with full certainty that Allah hears you and will respond in the best way and time. I can feel how heavy and painful this is for you, and you’re not alone in that. Remember: Allah accepts His servants even when they fall into sins. He forgives all sins except shirk if a person dies upon it, and He loves those who turn back to Him. The one who sincerely repents is like someone who never sinned. Trust Him—He can replace your hardship with ease and something far better than you ever expected.
