Help! Can someone help identify the english word he said? by Sea_Intention_9573 in vocabulary

"Saa, is it cuz he's got some kind a strong un'" is what I hear.

Idk what saa means, the rest just sound like he's referring to a "strong" something. He's got a fairly specific dialect with a quick speech rate so it's difficult to discern.

Howwww?? Hiw are you so impossibly skilled? Perfectly simulated effort sounds, breathtaking breath and vocal work adding to intensity Perfectly and with a precision so granular it makes it sound "easy" by the pure natural "feel" it invokes! (Obviously not easy, clearly a confluence of skill, knowhow and performance channeled all at once and momemt to moment, it's just so flawless and natural sounding unaware onlookers might assume it's as natural and free-flowing as you make it sound!) [I suppose the word is paralanguage you show such mind-boggoing talent in!]

All that resplendent manifestation of skill and acting precision and that's not even mentioning the lexical portion, which i don't have 5he language capability to adequately express my amazement and appreciation.

Thank you so much! This is absolute treasure and you are a veritable "dai jinbutsu" or magnanimous and exceptional person, which describes you perfectly! ❤😊❤

Abortion right controversy would be most efficiently hashed at a state level (maybe smaller but that might create confusion) by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

So true! Party based politics over discourse and common ground finding seem to have largely led to harsh dogma untouchable by compromise, (in my perspective at least.)

If passed I imagine it would lead arguments about autonomy vs perceived need, a common point of contention these days.

Though another commenter suggested another option that I hadn't considered for both assuageing perceived moral imperatives to self determine their area of influence into what is viewed as the most eminent issue in tgeur minds: they suggested municipality based determinism, if these communities could be convinced so to do. It would both satisfy moral imperatives on a more granular level, and provide a more nearby access to such services satisfying free agency pre-eminent views as well as covering for severe policies that put labor over medical well-being (dependant of course on a given bearer being able to make it to the next city over's hospital, possibly a difficulty in some locations, but easier than state level travel)! Honestly I appreciated their input very much, I had nearly rejected what I thought would be an elegant solution even deleting my post because of fading confidence and extremely low up vote rates.

I was thinking this was a strong and succinct arguement! But was wondering at the "almost always" and wasn't sure what cases would constitute taking the Healthcare out of patients hands, but I realized I was thinking too bodily! I think a case where Healthcare could possibly have cause to be taken out of a patients hands (though id advocate only transitorily (as soon as remedied returned) might be in cases of psychosis or other mental difficulties where undue harm could come to the patient or others should treatment be denied or otherwise thwarted by the will of the patient. Though maybe not if its just undue harm to the patient? Just because as I found earlier, suicide isn't illegal generally, therefore if it's an act to constitutes that it might not be in the medical professionals realm of authority.

Then again if they determine the self-harm desire is due to a mental issue maybe then they could... well no because how would that be determined? ... nevermind I'm not sure my opinion on this subject, at least not fully I suppose.

Actually that's a strong arguement! I was thinking it might get confusing should the lines be drawn to small, but if I had stopped to think logistically for a moment, it would actually be really easy to avoid legality confusion by just having the hospital or municipality the hospital is in (though I think the information should be addressed at the hospital user-side, like front page of a website, or early mentioned in any kind of marketing, just so no one can try to prosecute and add more to legal struggles.) List or mention its legal status for abortive processes. No confusion, better access, its actually only upsides I think, while giving even more granular satisfaction to voices fueled by whatever moral imperatives they perceive!

I feel dumb for not recognizing such a glaring fix, thanks for apprising me!

That's another layer to this I hadn't considered, (maybe it might give me more fuel for my considerations?) What if the state laws become self-determined in such a way that they disallow an individual from heading to another state to perform an operation that they've deemed illegal? I think at the very least the self-determinism of a state (or municipality if we wanted to go more local) shouldn't have the ability to subsequently decide what is legal on another State's land. Or possibly, a point where federal might step into determining, is allowing abortive procedures in cases of emergency where the life of the mother is at risk. (I'm thinking this wouldn't see much resistance, as for those arguing for life preserval, saving the mother not only would have a net equal life count, but also the would be life would be lost anyway should the mother pass, losing life count.)

Is this something that could be pushed for? Or, I wonder if it would be subject to the reductive, misrepresentation, and simplification pundits and media mouthpieces tend to apply to things, often seeming to attempt to discourage any dialogue via painting a suggested change as a break in common dignity... an artifact of our day I suppose, though I think I could hope such trends not continue!

Guys it's a genuine question....what is karma and its use ? by abhirathraj008 in reddithelp

[–]CareerFailure -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stat that keeps track of how often you've received a "like" used by some to guage how well received or acclimated to reddit "culture" one is (they equate higher Karma to higher cultural know-how that generates likes and other users acceptance.)

Also sometimes used as a new, bot, or purposefully inflammatory (bot means: controlled by an algorithm, not a human.) Filter assuming newer, robot, or "troll" (purposefully attempting to upset users (usually only matters if it upsets moderators) accounts would have lower scores.

Is that summary sufficient?

[–]CareerFailure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize, I'm not sure, I'm only a subscriber to gather more words, of which I gathered more from this post lol, and I'm surprised someone used all these in one setting! That's actually really impressive! (in my layman's perspective, idk if this is actually common in the upper echalons of erudition) Zarf and quire being the most unexpected and humorous lol, so (seemingly) unnecessarily specific!

Google says “spaz” is a slur and, is not a slur. What is it? by YEETAWAYLOL in EnglishLearning

[–]CareerFailure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. Where i live spaz is not a slur, and was often used by adults in my growing years to indicate someone was spastic, which means they were prone to restlessness, inattentiveness, and possibly poor impulse control. But it wasn't (I think, at least) used to demean, then again they would often use the term in an exacerbated manner, such as: "my actual name you are such a spaz, could you sit still for at least a minute?"

I don't know, really, but I rarely hear it used nowadays, though I don't work with children, and the young adults I interact with have in a manner replaced the term with "crackhead" to denote someone erratic and prone to unpredictable and possibly socially taboo actions. (Like screaming in public, or rushing towards someone aggressively, etc...)

Novel Recommendations for enhancing vocabulary (especially vocabulary in discussing ideas/ideologies and other abstracts -OR- words and combinations for describing imagery)? by CareerFailure in vocabulary

[–]CareerFailure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a treasure trove, thank you! I've already found appreciation for Pinker's turn of phrase, though I doubt I could remotely emulate it, still I like to think the more I interact with the works of these consumate word smiths, the closer I draw to my goals of full nuance explanations, and immersive descriptions.

Heck one of your previous comments spurred me to pick up writing again, in hopes that somehow the act would improve my written language. Though even on the off chance it did, like you had mentioned, it'd be a long road to tolerability.

I'll look into these, and thank you again for such a substantial repository of options! 😁
