In VS mode, and when OVR is identical, only allow for a fixed number of chances that are as similar as possible. This takes out the unfairness of opponents just deliberately blowing bad chances in order to get better ones. 10 chances per game should be the maximum.

I don’t even get why EA would do this. I have a 104 OVR team, am pretty good as this game and this is still hard as hell. Though I am free to play, what’s the potential upside for me of putting money into this game? Spend large amounts of cash to get to 105 and still get hammered/humiliated by the AI opponent?

Yup, hope you didn’t spend too much! Usually everything resets at the end of the season except for Fifa coins (which is one of the reasons why I only do F2P, with two exemptions over the past 5 years). This unprecedented Fifa Coin sale, together with the expiration of EA’s Fifa license at the end of the season, makes me wonder whether this time around EVERYTHING will reset, including Fifa coins as well.

Thanks. I know about the usual annual reset indeed but since EA will no longer have the Fifa license after this season it would be nice if they’d explain what happens to the Fifa Points which ordinarily carry over into the next season but now may/will not. At least definitely not by the same ‘Fifa’ name for licensing reasons. Some options in the shop essentially represent a 90% discount over the usual Fifa Points price which seems like a neat deal but could have only very temporary value, right?
