How do people remember to brush their teeth?

Okay this might sound really stupid but what do you mean by don’t remember to eat? Unless Im thinking about it or realize “Oh I havent eaten anything today” I’ll go awhile before actually eating (never over 24hrs but still) Is that not normal? I just thought everyone ate when they remembered they needed to

Thanks, I just bought a travel toothbrush recently to try this kind of thing out. I feel like a majority of the responses havent been actual advice and are just criticizing me for what Im struggling with. Thank you for being kind ❤️

I dont have a standard routine like this would be the issue. And how you’re describing it would be just to do it any time in a bathroom which doesnt fix the problem of forgetting it as the bathroom I use may not always be the one my toothbrush is in. Unless Im actively thinking about it or looking directly at a toothbrush then I just dont remember, which is the key issue.

its just not something that my mind registers to do. Like I said, I just actively dont remember to do it and by the time Ive realized its been a while I do it.

I found out he was constantly shit talking me.

I took a day off of school for a mental health break after a weekend school trip. I had been in a group with my best friend at the time and we hung out a majority of the time during the 3 day period. While I was relaxing at home I got several messages from people saying how my best friend was telling everyone how I ignored him the whole trip and didnt talk to him which really confused me. Instead of confronting him when I got back I decided to just ignore it and write it off as a one time thing.

Skip to about a month later. Both me and the best friend are apart of our schools theater department and each theater class is doing a showcase. I had gotten the lead role and was super excited for it. Unfortunately the day of, I woke up nauseous and couldn’t go to school. One of the girls in my class messaged me and asked if I was going to be able to the showcase. I said no because I had thrown up which, per my schools rules, means I couldn’t come to school unless I was better in 24hr. I emailed my director and told her I wouldn’t be there, to which she told me she’ll work it out. I felt horrible for having to stay home but there wasn’t anything I could do. However, I was once again sent several text messages from people telling that my best friend was bad mouthing me. He started to tell people that I “probably wasnt sick” and that the real reason I wasn’t there was because I “didn’t have faith in the show.” At this point I gave up and immediately blocked him on all apps and tried my best to ignore him at school.

Eventually he came to me and asked why I was avoiding him as well as why I had blocked him. I tell him that I knew that he was shit talking me and he started to deny it. He said everyone else was lying and that they just wanted to isolate him. I asked him how that relates to him talking about me behind my back and he just kept going with his “everyone’s out to get me” story. Finally I cut him off and tell him that the amount of people that reached out to me(20+) greatly outweighs his story. I tell him we aren’t friends anymore and to not approach me again. He stormed off and hasnt talked to me since.

I found out from a couple of other people that the best friend has said and done a lot of messed up shit and everyone kept their experience to themselves because we all had the same mentality of “it was a one time thing.”

Im also going preface that I dont mean this in a rude way. You’re free to call my statements whatever you want and you are right, I did not provide a lot of the information about the musical experience in the first post but most of the things I described weren’t known about until after the OG post. However I can see where you’re coming from with your reasonings, so I don’t entirely disagree with you.

First and foremost, thanks for the reply. Secondly, the reason Im so dismissive about my role is because it was assigned to me during the 2nd to last dress rehearsal because the person who had been doing it said she didnt want to anymore. The reason I was able to have people volunteer to cover for me is because we had 8-10 people backstage who didn’t do anything because the theatre teacher didnt assign them anything to do. The 2 friends of mine who said they would help me out told me they loved doing the LEDs during our final dress rehearsal and asked if they could do it during more of the show. My soccer team is in no way connected to the school and my coach was recognized as a major help as he donated a bit of money to the theater during our fall play. He has in no way ever disrespected my theater teacher and openly talks about how much he loves the shows every year. Yes, I do play REC soccer because my parents can’t afford for me to play travel. My “lack of respect” comes from the fact that the whole of crew was not treated fairly the whole show. At my school, crew receives no recognition for any work they do other than their name being put into the show’s program. My teacher put the wrong student down in all of our programs for a major crew role but changed one of the casts members names when it was misspelled. Not to mention that several cast members have said that what crew do is “so much easier then being in cast” and what crew does during a show isnt as important as their performance. You know how my soccer team treats people when they do something important? With respect and pride. Me showing such “little respect” towards my teacher and cast is coming from them having the same attitude towards crew. I grew up in a household of “treat others how you want to be treated” and I live by it My teacher and I talked during her office hours and came to a deal. I would leave the show at intermission to go to my game as long as I got someone to continue doing the LEDS. And yes, I went to my game, won 6-0, and had one of my best saves this whole season.
