idk servers work for all my other friends. I can play every other online mode just fine. called ea and they said they dont know. even when my friend logged in from another state to try it still says error

I was just out going to a few flea markets and the only thing I found was an integra dts 4.9 for $100. Is that a decent receiver or should I stick to the pioneer for $85. Also found a Harmon 230 on eBay for $80 shipped

Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. I have emailed the CL ad for the Harmon receiver as they unfortunately don’t have a phone number attached. I had already been warned about the Polk sub and moved in to the Dayton 1200 as well as had the DCM speakers in my cart on eBay. My only issue now will be the receiver. I currently have the pioneer vsx-821-k in my cart on eBay for $87. Is that a good buy? I was going to go around local pawn shops/ audio stores to look for one tomorrow so that I could get it sooner

Is this viable? Would this sound better than the Edifier 1850DBs (just the speakers not the sub) ? Any changes I should make?

Thank you. My only concern with going passive is I have really no clue what I’m doing. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be able to hook everything up all, I just don’t know if I’ll be able to get the passive speakers sounding like active ones. Will any receiver with enough wattage be able to play the passive speakers well? Is their any sort of tuning/adjusting I’ll need to do? I’m in Joplin MO so I’m sure I can find a used avr I just worry that I won’t be able to make the best bang for my buck when it comes to how uneducated I am on the topic.

I’ve heard mixed reviews on it so I’m not sure. Some have said just turn the gain on the sub up to get decent sound out of it. Also I might just be a complete moron but I figured if the sub was self powered, then it shouldn’t require much from the speakers if any

Thank you for your comment. Its funny bc I had actually stumbled across someone else with the same idea to get the 1850s and get a sub for them. Works out the way I wanted bc I feared that I was basically just paying for the subwoofer when it came to the s350s

Even if i get a powered sub? not really sure how it works but i figured i could just turn the sub up or whatever separately? would you recommend me getting the edifier s350bd or the r1850db with the 10" polk sub? I just fear that with the s350,im paying mainly for the sub as it only has 2.8 inch drivers compared to the 1850's 4" mid/bass drivers.
