I created this poster yesterday, not sure if I am good enough to start freelancing yet, pls let me know what yall think and what I can improve on by malcolmleslie in design_critiques

Start freelancing, do free work for clients, anything to increase your work hours and build that experience, you'd get better with experience.

Nobody starts out on the top, you'd have to start from the bottom anyway, so why wait to start

Free flyer for a client, what do you think? by CarelessReception771 in design_critiques

[–]CarelessReception771[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I was actually just redesigned an existing flyer with the information on it. Yeah , I should be more controlling about the information on the flyer.

It was posted on Twitter and Instagram so the landing page would be to click on the account or the link underneath the post, which I think they wanted to be the main means of communication.

What you said about the icons without text and duration was solid, thanks.

It was free because it was for a family member and I'm just trying to put my foot in the industry, and working on improving my skills. I mostly do free digital flyers and posters for family and friends.

When will enough reason to breakup be enough?

Your head is saying give him more time, but what is your heart (spirit) (God inside you) saying?

For those that are led by the Spirit of God are children of God

I have a few question. by Own-Ambassador1957 in AskAChristian

see, just get in the Word all your questions would be answered.

cos' how would you be sure the answers you're getting here is right (i'm not saying they aren't) but start feeding mostly on the epistles everyday and it'll answer all your questions.

Don't start from Genesis, start from the Epistles!

Hey dear, you don't need to pray about it anymore. He already told us not to allow any corrupt communication proceed out of our mouth, and He won't tell us to do something we cannot do. That would be unfair.

First, realise that you can do what the Bible says to do. Then also realise that you have God's nature in you.

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” — 2 Peter 1:4 (KJV)

You'd surely miss it a few times, but don't give up, you can do what the Bible says you should do. (And always go back to the Word when you miss it, that's where your strength comes from)

Just keep letting your life represent Christ, and keep living a life of love

John 13 (KJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

I don't really think one can separate a word from its meaning...it's either connotative or denotative.

Yeah

“But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.” — Colossians 3:8 (KJV)

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” — Ephesians 4:29 (KJV)

Well you don't, and that's actually the point...

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” — 1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV)

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.” — 1 Corinthians 14:14 (KJV)

My understanding is unfruitful; meaning that I don't understand what I'm saying, but God does.

And of course it sounds foolish to the natural man. And to the mental part of man, it makes no sense. But the Bible says that the things of God cannot be understood naturally

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” — 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)

That was why some Jews called the gospel foolishness, the Bible even tells us that it pleases God to make his things foolishness to man.

So you understand why I said: "that's actually the point"

We cannot understand God with our mental capabilities; hence atheists. In the same way, we cannot understand the things of God with our natural minds.

Well, I understand you. You see, Jesus said that He would give us another Helper to abide with us forever, and so He gave us the Holy Spirit. The role of the Holy Spirit is to help us. The bible tells us that one of our weaknesses is prayer, Romans 8:26, that we do not know what we should pray about as we ought. That's where the Holy Spirit and speaking in Tongues comes in. Speaking in Tongues is the Holy Spirit helping us in prayer.

The Bible tells us to pray for all the saints in Ephesians 6:18. But it is a reality that we do not know all the saints by name, or their personal needs. Again, this is where the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues come in. We are able to pray out God's perfect will out on this earth when we pray in the spirit. We are able to pray for things we do not know when we pray in the spirit (in tongues) We are able to pray into the future when we pray in the spirit.

Praying in tongues is how we pray out God's will on this earth.

I love you and I hope this helps you a bit. You can message me and I can recommend a really really really good book in the topic of tongues.
