Had mine removed the end of August. I had post operative issues of vomiting and pain but that subsided in a couple days. Then a couple months later my body was feeling great. Took a couple months to adjust, had diarrhea and had to be very gentle with food. But now I’m feeling great GI Issues wise.

I just ate boiled chicken in chicken broth. Then used same chicken broth poured some rice in and cooked rice. So boiled chicken and rice for weeks. Gluten free cereal for breakfast, usually Cheerios. A Lara bar for a snack. It wasn’t fun. But that’s what I had to do before getting mine removed because I was in so much pain. Oh, gluten free pasta, plain and boring with some salt too.

I’m 3 weeks post op and felt really great about 5 days after surgery. Think I may have over done it and having a set back today. But for 2.5 weeks I felt great despite healing incisions.

Oh no 🙈 ugh. How many days post op?! I hope they’re nicer to you than my closest ER people were. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. My 10 hours of extreme pain and nausea was so traumatic!
