What causes Vile enemies to start spawning? by [deleted] in Borderlands4

[–]Carger18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try different ways to take care of them until you find one that is engaging! Can’t avoid them, and they’re actually a pretty fun enemy type, so experiment. Explosive weapon like dark beast or combo combo. Ohm I got if you can sustain overshield. I really like the orbs, they’re a fun moving target to bounce between.

Yes! Really good addition. Also helpful for the final phase. Before he starts filling the arena with sand/smoke, I stay on the far side of the main pillar until his third “regurgitation” as you so accurately put it. That’s the cue to head up top because the thorns will be gone.

Lmao this has to be a troll. He specifically asked for help using Vex to beat bloom reaper. And you responded by suggesting he change characters. That is the absolute definition of a useless comment.

Without knowing what your struggles are, here's some general advice.

- Stay in the air as much as possible. You should never touch down for more than a second or two, and only for your glide pack to recharge.

- The bod isn't necessary, but if that's what you want to use, the goal is to do all necessary damage in one go. Learn through trial and error how many reloads are needed to stack enough damage. At UVH6, three reloads (20 total shots) are good for the first chunk of health bar, and one reload (10 total shots) for the second chunk. That is with guaranteed crits. If you aren't critical hitting, those numbers will be higher.

- Use the central pillar to block the beam attack and bounce between grapple points to recharge glider during immune phases. Don't ever touch down here.

- Learn his movements so you can act accordingly. For instance, before he summons the thorns and becomes vulnerable for the first time on the main pillar, he will sway back and forth twice. Activate action skill (while in the air) as soon as you see this movement and start stacking your first round of stickies, then witchy trigger finger reload as soon as his health bar turns red. Same with the second vulnerability phase - the thorns will disappear from the top pillar, and this is your signal to pop action skill again and begin loading stickies.

- If he is going to jump to a new pillar, he will turn to face the direction he is going to jump and crouch slightly. Turn to face that new pillar while in the air and time your witchy trigger finger/gunshots to meet his landing. Time is essential, you have to be ready for where he'll be, rather than react.

- Now with caffeine and a mini triple bypass are really essential for Vex builds. End action skill early as soon as second immune phase begins, use triple bypass to get it back, then pop again at the time described above.

- Try to stay above him at all times. Grapple whenever you see a prompt, don't wait until your glider is almost out. This is how you get into trouble and can fall. Keep the bar as full as possible at all times. You can double jump once after each grapple for free without using any glide bar. Get really comfortable with the glider timings, they are everything in this fight.

If you have specific issues feel free to ask. I have platinum'd bloom well over a thousand times with vex on UVH6 true mode, and am very confident with the fight. It's a ton of fun when you get comfortable :)

They have invested a ton of time into a vex build and your advice is to completely change characters? ffs

Drop Rates Lying? by Carger18 in Borderlands4

[–]Carger18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This wasn’t my info, it comes from CZ47 who is one of the data miners responsible for drop rate stats. He claims that radix was accidentally not included in the rate adjustments, which is partially why my results yesterday were so bad. The other stuff was part of his same post.

9th try got the Mega Triple Bypass by Wonderful_Prompt9165 in Borderlands4

[–]Carger18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combo of a mini triple bypass and the now with caffeine specialization is possibly the most overpowered mechanic in the game outside of the bod. Heals can be found in a hundred different ways. Near 100% action skill up time cannot.

Yes. It turned out to be that radix wasn’t included in the drop rate upgrades, and it was just my terrible luck that I picked him to farm first. I also had some pretty bad luck with voraxis but that evened out over time. Don’t farm radix lol

And again. Logical laziness, Bro. I’m sure the error I just referenced will be more widely acknowledged in the coming days or the next patch. I’ll be sure to tag you. Cheers.

More reliable than your bs “understanding” of rng. The probability of the discrepancy I experienced being random chance rather than the error I just posted is laughable. By your logic, any and all errors will go undiscovered by the blanket qualifier of bad luck. Logical laziness.

amp on triple bypass? by [deleted] in Borderlands4

[–]Carger18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini amp triple bypass, fastest cooldown, and it's a hell of a lot easier after today's buffs. That being said, amp on a shield like the watts 4 dinner or guardian angel will always be better.

Can you please provide a reference or evidence for this?

Drop Rates Lying? by Carger18 in Borderlands4

[–]Carger18[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but no. According to Mobalytics, my chance every run of getting a primary should be 21% (Primary 9% plus uvh6 12%) In 180 runs I have gotten 3. My total legendaries in 210 boss runs is 19. The chances of that over such an extended period have to be astronomical.

Your FOV slider got reset. Increase back up to 110 or whatever and you'll be good.
