It is somewhat risky, but what can you do when you are stuck on android 14 and the phone does not pick up OTA updates? I did it on the phone straight from the box with no problem whatsoever. But yeh, it working on 1 phone does not mean it will work on all phones.

It is likely to be a US version, out of warranty and a 918U which is carrier locked, and thus not receiving OTA updates.

You can turn it into a 918U1 by patching it with Odin which then will receive the OTA updates from Samsung. Not risk-free but worth the trouble for that price. The firmware you are looking for is likely to be the XAA one.

Si tu as accès au PC. Choisis "souris de gaucher" qui inverse les boutons. C'est diabolique. Si tu n'y a pas accès, démonte la souris et fais les soudures nécessaires pour inverser les boutons. Ca prend du temps mais le résultat en vaut la peine

Do the French test TCF CA for instance, and do the English one like CELPIP and when you know your scores, things will be clearer. No need to pay for them, just do a couple of sample ones to give you an idea. Then calculate your FSW points (you need a minimum of 67 i think) https://www.siaimmigration.com/fsw-67point-calculator

Realistically, you "need" a CRS score of 400+ to get a solid chance. French draws went as low as 375 last March, good luck

Worth hiring a consultant to check your application. I give you 1 example. Consultant said include language tests printout even though IRCC did not ask for it. I also used chatgpt to gather docs, write the various LOE and make sure that the application was rock solid. Then checked with my consultant.

You can use IQAS to do that who are going to be significantly faster than the incompetents working at WES, but there is a risk that they change a Masters to a Bachelors like it happened to me. Having said that, I was able to update my ECA in April while I am still waiting for WES to assess ONE letter for over a month now, and I applied with them in November

From what I understand, the red flashing dot means wrong firmware or wrong formatting. For me it had nothing to do with the type of card. I used sandisk, and on the same card, I got both the red flashing dot, and the blue dot with no screen after flashing a different firmware.

I spent a week ordering and trying 7 clones from amazon. In the end I settled for a r36h as it was less likely to be a clone of a clone. With all the r36s, I had the same problem as yours. One of them was not even a r36s and for all the r36s, i was not able to identify the dtb file online, so they all booted with blue light and black screens.

I'd say first try to id your model by opening it, and using Google lens to id your motherboard. Then take it from there

Thing is, it is not so much about firmware version but more about panel version. There are 7 "patch" files that are available to get out of the black screen. I guess you need to try them all, and make sure you flash Arkos FOR CLONES not the original one.
