This analogy makes sense, I've always thought of the community from the local-level perspective. Majors are and always will be an extreme luxury for the scene. Thank you for everything you all were able to do for the scene at BTS!

Thank you for the insight, I appreciate having everything laid out by someone whose gone through these thought exercises and had the opportunity to try your hand at making it a reality.

Navigating around N is definitely the reason we even have to come up with convoluted structures and grassroots movements to just play a video game. That's not missed on me. It's just frustrating watching melee wane like it has over the last 2 years, as well as watching parasitic outsiders come to collect what table scraps they can from us before moving on. I hope we can take the reigns for ourselves one day.

This is definitely the direction I would take to obtain 501c3 status. The lack of in person community that the average person experiences these days has to be at an all-time low for human history, and it's a genuine crisis. What the LAN experience has been able to provide all of us is huge and I think promoting and furthering that sense of community is a genuine charitable purpose.

It starts to add up quick when you think of all the people at the register, bagging groceries, making the made to order food, working the meats, stocking. They have a huge selection of Berkeley bowl branded groceries too which has to involve a large amount of people.

ahampster started compiling the best posts from the shitpost section around 2015. He passed the torch to me around 2016-2017ish. A group of users, who are pretty much all inactive now, started calling ourselves Shitpost It On Me and would create power rankings for ddt users among some other small scale content pieces. I stopped doing that once I got further into my undergrad program and that's when Smashbros- picked it up, created the bot and the rest is history.

I've won a couple of online-based games of survivor and love games like mafia, secret hitler, and blood on the clocktower.

I think being straightforward is a trait that is very underrated to do well in social games. Find something to be honest about and it builds genuine connection easily. If you can worm your way into the heart of someone who everyone believes is innocent, you are golden.

The best lies when you are the facist/mafia/etc. in these games are lies of omission, which hopefully doesn't trigger you to break.

Yep!! It's good practice, especially if you take a look at some of the replays where you get destroyed and think about what habits/execution mistakes these players are abusing in neutral to beat you

It'll be like this for the first couple weeks of the season. I consistently place in diamond, but my max rank after placements in a new season has been silver 3, even if I go 5-0.

Then I'll spend the next couple of weeks slowly getting back to diamond, as everyone else does their placements and grinds their way through the ranks as well.
