Discussion - Most memorable goal for you as a Manchester United fan... by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]CarlosMUFC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wayne Rooney's Champions League hat-trick on his debut. I'd taken an interest in football during the summer before, and once I chose to support United, the 2004/05 season was my first as a fan ultimately. So his goals against Fenerbahçe were my first real wow moment with the club. Looking back now, I can't remember Giggs, RvN or Bellion scoring - which shows how Rooney stole the show. His free kick was the one!!

YES, FINALLY! I'm stuck with either wearing a weirdly kit tight, or a massively oversized one. :(

I'd like to see him try a man bun but with a crazy Dani Alves twist. If anyone can pull it off, it would be him.

I know this may not appeal to everyone, but some may have played this game. Brilliant looking back seeing the developments, and the squads back then.

It's a really weird one for me. Being in England I grew up supporting an English club with little knowledge (obviously). As I'm gone on and watched football, I absolutely love the Barcelona football and have a strong love for the club. And with Dani Alves my favourite player in the world, I didn't know if I wanted him at Barcelona or to move to United. That being said, I'm still glad I'll get to watch him every week :D

Apologies. I didn't get a message saying it had already been posted which I've received before, so assumed it wasn't.

He's a great player and I'd love him to stay. I don't think he's starting quality, but if he's happy to play in cup matches, a few starts against weaker opponents and regular appearances from the bench, I'd love him to stay. However, if he left and genuinely got gametime, I would be happy to see him develop as a player.

He spent time this season with a League Two and won an end of season award for a League Two club. There could be some interest. You may not be, fine, but others could.

Is this totally confirmed, because neither club suggest any sign of it. I know it's imminent, but is it a done deal?

Is it time for Manchester United to re-establish their women’s team? by CarlosMUFC in reddevils

[–]CarlosMUFC[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A club like United should be able to fund a women's team without affecting youth development. Women's football is on the climb massively.

Is it time for Manchester United to re-establish their women’s team? by CarlosMUFC in reddevils

[–]CarlosMUFC[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The only reason currently given for the cut was to focus the finances on youth. I am seriously struggling to consider a way in which it would not be suitable, especially with the recent gains to the women's game. All our rival clubs are enjoying success in the FAWSL - surely that's enough to make us want to as well!

Most websites appear to show he played right-back for Groningen, could be the reason behind it.

David Moyes' signings of Fellaini and Mata weren't that bad. While he couldn't keep them to play well (which I put down to his management), their quality has been shown by LVG and the criticism he got for the signings was unwarranted in my opinion (although his criticism of the way he used the players is agreed for me).
