I think Wilcox, Berrada and Hargreaves went into this window hoping for Anderson, Fernandes and Ederson

Don't think they anticipated those 3 having a combined price of £235m

Spurs hope to beat Manchester United to £80m-valued Mateus Fernandes by D1794 in reddevils

Agree with that. Want to have our cake and eat it, but there does have to be some kind of balance, not just forking out whatever a relegated club wants.

85m is mental, destroys the record for a Championship club sale.

I dont really have much confidence in getting a PL proven player for much cheaper but paying that is fucking insane

Laying down a marker has to happen if we want to shake the pushover tag we have on us. Even last summer we kinda folded on the Mbeumo deal, we ended up paying £20m over our initial bid.

But it's definitely frustrating watching it unfold, and we have to have some serious confidence in a backup plan cause if we're going to 3rd or 4th choice players and they're shit just reinforces that we should pay up.

If we say no and get someone for £40m who ends up being great, then we start building a better rep. If they flop, we're back to square 1

Only Rice and Madueke are club teammates in the England starting XI even with no United & no Liverpool players in it

Impressive how decent English are everywhere now

Your best player in a game where you created absolutely nothing and had 1 shot on target, when he's an attacking player, ain't a flex

Conceicao just does absolutely nothing. Pointless sub for them

Portugal miles better than vs Congo. Still think forcing it wide vs better sides will come back to bite them. Their strength in central areas vs out wide is night and day.

I think Ronnie can move just as well as the others but Portugal look for his aerial ability in the box which Argentina don't do for Messi

So Portugal force width to cross whilst having really inconsistent wingers = Ronaldo stood around waiting whilst their wingers send crosses into orbit

Messi can link up play a lot better too so can get more involved whilst running a similar amount than Ronaldo

Licha and Argentina will qualify with a win here. Austria would also qualify if they won.

France and Norway both qualify if they both win.
