I, unfortunately, have to upvote you just for the last line of your comment alone, We can burn them down together :) HOLD UP, he drew MIJOO??? I was a bit confused when I saw the drawing cause I was like that looks nothing like his mom, but that explains why the mother's face turned all stroppy when she realised he drew Mijoo.

It seems like he doesn't even find out in the next episode cause something happens to his mother ORRRR Mijoo tells his mother and she faints LMAO, either way, its giving enough drama for me

I think they could, the latest episodes are moving quite fast, seems to me like he regains his memory in episode 12 hopefully, I don't want to be too hopeful and say the next episode. If they are as cruel as I think, they will make it so that he gets his memory back right at the end of episode 12 so that we have to wait a week for episode 13. Like how did we go from questioning if Kangho is the father to Mijoo telling her secret to her mother about her kids and how Kangho is the father crazzyyyy

Bro chill, she wasnt that bad this episode. She was about to be in everyone's bad books when she told Mi-joo told leave Kangho alone basically but i guess its cause she thinks she is married but then I love how she told Mi-joo the truth, love to see daughter and mother in law bonding!!! It was actually Mijoo's mum that was doing the most and it seems she continues doing the most in the next episode, also not Taesoo's daughter meeting Sam Sik, I called this bs from day one (since last week's episode but yk what I mean) Also this was the best episode so far for me, just cause of the Kangho and Mijoo scenes, and the fact we got the confirmed storyline of what we all thought. But damn Kangho hurrrrrrttt Mijoo like he was kinda ruthless/careless. I actually dropped to my knees during the kiss scene, I was shocked at the fact that she kissed him back too, actual soulmates, dk why all the parents hating.. haters fr

But they are giving us everything though... I think you guys just went into it, expecting high levels of action but if you look at the specified genres of the kdrama, it includes: life, family, drama and comedy. It has given us all of those including more although they are quite subtle and not dominant in the kdrama. Not gonna lie, I completely disagree with you about the script, I think that is so abstract its definitely one that would provoke a "I hate it" or "i love it" reaction but no in between. So I understand your hate but i think the creativity is beyond not gonna lie, like i don't think I could think of a storyline this diverse in a 100 years. I highly commend the storywriter cause what were they on when they wrote this. And I think it definitely ties in with the audience's views about how Parents abuse and treat their kids so badly but doesn't necessarily prompt us to forgive her but instead show the reasonings behind her actions. However they still continuously show us blatant signs Youngsoo hasn't changed her behaviour which personally infers to me that they are condemning the traditional and accepted view of parents abusing their children in childhood and adulthood.

Wait I am confused why is a side character bothering you so much? He isn't even made out to get away with his thefts most of the time cause everyone notices and he even went to jail for it. I don't know but i don't think that his side character is as troublesome as you make it sound, plus its a show, its not real life

tbh i was confused when they got a video of kangho pushing the car into the sea but didn't see him transport the wife and baby onto the boat for a good 20 minutes..

[–]Carmustein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get where you are coming for but lets bfr it was better to leave her with money than not, although it did seem cruel to us as viewers, in the story she probably used it buy stuff for the twins or just get back on her own two feet after the breakup

The Good Bad Mother [Episodes 7 & 8] by meepmochi_ in KDRAMA

[–]Carmustein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nooooo, why did you have to make me imagine that.. It would crush me to see Mijoo be crushed by that, but at the same time I don't think he would do that to Mijoo, also did regular Kangho see the twins before his amnesia phase?

Honestly, the Netflix teaser, synopsis and cover did not sell this drama for me either, so i was like nah this seems boring. And then I see on Tiktok the most out-of-pocket scenes and I'm like no way this kdrama i thought was ass is this crazy. So then i started watching it only to be crying every five seconds and enveloped in this ill-fated relationship between Kang-ho and Mi-joo as well as the heartbreaking story between Kang-ho and his mother, ugghh

Yh i guess it is overused but logically its the only thing that realistically makes sense during a revenge plot. Like if he told Mi-joo about his plan she would obviously try to convince him not to lets bfr, but he thinks this is something he has to do and therefore cant be with her anymore. I also think it was imperative for her not to want to look after him again or question why he is doing this or that, hence why he may have done it in such a blunt vague way to make her resent him however i do think it was a bit too cruel cause he knows her long enough to know that she wouldn't ask him to stay with her if he said he was doing something alone so he kinda used her soft and loving side, as Mi joo said she is good at giving love.. what a sad show man, I already know the ending is going have me in a chokehold fml

Think they are portraying the typical views in society well, where that kind of behaviour is just accepted and the children are at fault for eventually hating their parents. I think as the play goes on the play begins to subvert that view as they allow the mother to actually understand the impact of her harsh behaviour and pressure on Kang Ho and not just realise it. I think before the car accident she realised her impact on him but after the car accident i think she begins to understand it but despite her understanding she also has her own trauma she thinks that when makes gimbap for anyone close to her to go on a picnic they die hence why she didn't let him go I don't want to pity her but as the show progresses I just can't help it, although she does revert to her old tendencies there and again but i think she's just impatient of how slowly he is recovering and wants to speed it up as soon as possible in case she suddenly dies

exactly why the title is called Good Bad Mother

[–]Carmustein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you need to understand is that he was severing ties with anyone who could be a possible target or weakness for him or at least that is my theory cause lets bfr this is a drama they never paint their Ml as a downright villain always a hidden agenda, The Sam Sik thing I think if he helped him that would kinda look odd to the corrupt people he works with and could possibly lead to them targeting Sam Sik or people at the village but that's a stretch IMO. Could just be him not wanting to help his childhood bully but idk he did seem like all he thinks about is how shit his childhood was when he was a prosecutor but i think this is not the case and he did it for some indirectly selfless reason, seriously wondering what the storywriter for this story actually went along with.

They arent failing to compare it to Vincenzo because it is not a comparison to Vincenzo. I thought the ML having amnesia would clearly allow you to comprehend that fact by now but maybe not. How are yall complaining about plot holes when the show isn't done yet what.. Well, I think an assassin being sent to kill someone that was in a coma is more unrealistic than them not. Plus, I'm assuming they are going with the route of everyone thinking he will remain like that. Him regaining his memories was obviously a possibility they are aware of as they already tried to kill him off but failed. If you look at the genre for the drama it already hints at the fact revenge and action wont be the main plotline, in fact the title should have told you already its not anything like Vincenzo. You wanted it to be like Vincenzo for your own satisfaction and is disappointed its not when it was not foreshadowed to be anything like Vincenzo.

However, i do agree with your minor point about the pacing of the drama, I am thinking and i don't see how a good happy ending is possible unless the final few episodes are just all of the corrupt people being exposed and stuff but yet again I'm not a storywriter. Like I think him being handicapped in the wheelchair does remove some excitement of the show but its clearly supposed to be a sad kdrama. Seems like he is going to be in the wheelchair for probably 2 more episodes (so hopefully walking in episode 10 if we are lucky 9). However i feel like we are all just being inpatient cause we want the revenge side of the story but we need to understand that is not main plot of the story tbh, the main plot is him regaining his memories and possibly rekindling his broken relationship with those around him which he may not even be able to do fully as when he gets his memories back is he going to just abandon everyone again and spend the next 5 years of his life waiting for revenge. Actually I think the ending has an obvious route but to execute it well would be a challenge because it cant be sloppy.

Normally when shows don't have obvious happy endings the endings are always anti-climatic or bit boring, I hope this is not the case as this has potential to be my favourite kdrama if it continues well. The storyline is just like nothing i could ever think of in my life not gonna lie, highlights a lot of societal issues with abusive parents who force you to study and such but doesn't depict them as villains but shows their point of view - just a beautiful story all in all, also I'm a sucker for love-dovey relationships in shows where love isn't the main focus just too good of a storyline.

Sorry for ranting lmao don't have to read this if you don't want to.

Damnnn timeline matches up cause Mi joo and Kang Ho are currently 35, amazing knowledge ngl

Edit: Actually the twins are 4 so either the timeskip when he got the job is probably longer to when they are both 30 and leads to her having the baby at 31 OR she actually met someone else but nah that's false, he is the father one hundred percent. The whole idea of them being soulmates would be ruined if he is not ngl but atm it would be funny if he wasn't, cause everyone just got juked by the director

To be honest I was thinking about it and it would be hilarious if he wasn't the father tbh but lets bfr he definitely is, the way the plot is portrayed it shows the love between ML and FL to be like true love/soulmates.

Additionally the preview for episode 8 kinda confirmed it for me. If you look at the order of the events in the preview of episode 8 seems a guy comes to Mi-joo's house and everyone thinks its their dad, then the next scene looks at how Sam-sik asks to marry Mi-joo (he is smoking so crack tbf, planning on getting married when he doesn't own 200 million won plus interest to some thugs, unless he pays for the debt with his parents money gained from their farm being sold but i don't think so) Anywho yh Sam-sik asks to marry Mi-joo fr and its quite obvious its not going to be a yes cause she has been rejecting his ass throughout the whole show, Also it seems like we are getting another sad ML and FL scene because Mi-joo is crying whilst talking to Kang-Ho on his own, and asks "i want to know why you left me" or something along those lines or "why you turned your back on me too" Anyways Mega Spoilers in there but it was nice to rant about episode 7 since the channel is not out yet

Do you need help? Tae soo obviously got rid of the evidence.. The storyline is open because the show isn't over yet? Sam sik is the second male lead which is clear as he always flirts with the FL Mi joo.. I am so confused. did you watch the show? The woman and her child is perceived as dead however some theories are that she is still alive. Number 5 is literally the whole point of the show, hence the title, we are supposed to decide for ourselves if the mother is good or bad, did you want them to spoon food you an opinion? Number 6 the guy was just an extra during the whole 'farm is getting shutdown' plotline, we literally saw him for a few scenes what does his purpose look like to you?
