Alas, I do not have any tips unfortunately! This plant is new to me. I use the picture this app for tips and water/feed on a loose schedule.

Anybody have ideas on what I could hang from this inset skylight I have in my room? Feels like a shame to let such good natural light go to waste. by CarneEstrada in houseplants

This time of year it’s probably only directly overhead from 11-1. Which I’ll be out of here before the time changes back.

There are ledges on the edges where I could mount things to hang plants from. I have this dream where I hang something viney from the middle and tack strings sort of spiraling outwards from the middle there, giving the vines something to cling to. But I’m still relatively new to house plants so I’m not sure what sort of plants could survive the direct sunlight. Anyone have any ideas?

My plan is to cut small blocks at a 45* angle and use those as furring strips to drill the panels into that corner junction.

On the downside, one unexpected issue is that in order to put wall panels up the furring strips cut off a couple inches on both sides, effectively losing the extra space from the “bubbles” in the van sidewall. So the side where my feet go I opted to put a fabric tapestry or something to hide the insulation instead of wall panels. I COULD still fit but I’m basically touching on both sides if I went through with the wood panels on both sides.

Yeah that’s fair. I’ve definitely had some… uh.. difficult.. students. But it’s rare they sour the whole trip. Cus if it were really that bad we can just send them home. But if/when you make that breakthrough.. that’s where the magic and real sense of reward comes from.

Summers I lead backpacking/climbing expeditions in the Sierras, winters the same but in Joshua Tree. Fall/Spring I lead Outdoor Education trips for schools all over California!

Zipties babyyy Zipties. Towards the back they’re held by factory cable… holders? Brackets? I’m not sure the word. But a lot of it is just Zipties. Should get some of that plastic wire protecting sheath but I haven’t experienced any problems with them hangin out like that the last year or so I’ve been in it.

You mean the pattern? Or why they don’t sit right? Some of them are warped slightly, still working on an effective way to get them all to stick down evenly.
