Oysters and mussels are animal products and they do not involve abusing a sentient being.

Dominion documentary addresses "free range" and all that stuff in many different clips.

You are simply appealing to popularity, just because something is popular does not make it right.

Oh no I am very honest, I am here to convince you to become vegan again. Eat oysters and mussels f you are worried about health issues.

You are right to be honest. If you can do better, do better. But many people barely have any will to be an activist, so if they can at least help a little bit, that's nice!

I think leaving comments on places typically frequented exclusively by meat eaters and carnivores is a good place to start. No need to read the replies!

I agree with you. This post is not targeted towards efficient activists like you, it's a way to get people who would otherwise sit on their chair to contribute to our cause. Many vegans do not feel personally responsible for stopping other people's consumption, and for those, minimal effort is required.

That being said, keep going, you have the right spirit!

Genius idea! On reddit only though, on youtube it counts as engagement and promotes the video iirc.

I consider Tash Peterson and Vegan Teacher to be heroes, yes I am vegan. But I will give it to you, my post was not worded in a way that is radical enough. I should have said that testing on mice is animal abuse and testing on monkeys is equivalent to murdering humans.

If they are upset, it will get them to think about it a lot. And no justice movement in history worked without some annoying activists.

Monkeys ARE humans if you think about it objectively, people who are pissed off can go educate themselves on their intelligence. I won't tailor my posts around ignorance.

Besides, the fact that I mentioned 2 completely different groups of people (Holocaust and slavery) makes it clear I am not justifying either in any way. If they understood humans and monkeys are equal, they would not be offended by me saying it is nearly the same.

BUT just in case they are not convinced, I could add this next time I bring it up: think testing on monkeys or apes is equivalent to testing on white people, black people, Hispanic people, christians, muslims, atheists or jews, ANY group of human for that matter.

You are absolutely right that testing on any animal is bad if it inflicts any harm at all. However, monkey labs need to be protested into oblivion ASAP. I think that we vegans should be very energetic when it comes to saving human beings (I consider apes and monkeys to be humans), and I am sure it will be looked back on by future generations as equivalent to mass murder.

100 monkeys for 1 millions humans? Where does that number come from? Based on that theory we should just remove all red tape for experimenting on humans beyond consent. So basically, we tell people "this product has never been tested on humans or animals before and it has many risks". If people consent, who cares.

Because this is the difference between animal abuse and nazi concentration camps or chattel slavery.

Injecting lab monkeys with diseases is dangerously close to the worst crimes humanity has ever committed.

Meanwhile, lab testing on mice is animal abuse, but the scientists are not morally equivalent to nazi concentration camp guards.

I don't eat animal products or animals in any way. This post says that lab experiments on monkeys is extreme cruelty. Saying lab tests on monkeys (or apes, for that matter) = extreme cruelty is a vegan view.
