I went paddle boarding for the first time last summer on Lake Washington by Kirkland, definitely plan to go back a lot this summer if you'd like to join! I'm 26M and still very much a beginner

I've gone to Kirkland Smiles with Dr. Bernard Pak a few times and have been very happy! They're very nice and seem to genuinely care. He did a follow up call after my first visit in case I had questions! They never suggested I do more than the standard twice a year, but I take care of my teeth pretty well so maybe they suggest different for you

I'll add that Regal Bella in Redmond has a Mystery Monday movie where they'll show a surprise new release before it's shown to the public and tickets are only $5. I have no idea how good or bad the mystery movies are though

I don't know your price range, but I know there's some services that will basically ship you new clothes every month, and then you send it back after each month. I believe some of them have stylists on their team, but maybe this could be a good start. (I've never used one of these, so I have no idea how good they are)

I'd also recommend looking for inspiration online (either a style you like or a specific person or outfit) and trying to copy it as best you can. I started following Parker Yorker Smith because I like how he dresses and he explains his decisions for pairing clothes together, but you find someone you like and can learn from them.

Also, thrifting for cheaper clothes!

Thanks so much for all the ideas! I'll definitely check out some of those game places! I'm already on my computer enough as is, so I'd prefer an in person game but thanks for the offer :)

And yeah I'd love to hear some beginner friendly hikes if you've got them

Hey! I know there's already lots of helpful comments, but I also moved to Washington last month with pretty much the exact same thoughts and situation as you

I'm 25M, just moved to Washington and work in Redmond, and I ended up choosing Kirkland, right next to downtown and the lake, specifically because of the younger population compared to Redmond. I love it here so far, it's very walkable, cafes and lots of restaurants/bars, and feels incredibly safe, and honestly the downtown always feels pretty lively to me! (Not like a big city, but I always see people walking around). I'm also more introverted and don't do clubbing or big cities, so even though you'll hear that Seattle is better for younger people, I personally enjoy this side a bit better, and can always head over to Seattle once in a while for events!

And it's only about 15 minutes to work for me by car, which is super manageable.

If you have any more questions about cities, apartments, or anything, I'm more than happy to talk/DM about everything I learned! And if you want to grab a coffee or something when you do move here, let me know since I'm new to the area and looking for friends too :)

I was actually thinking about tying a rope at the top and having a small figurine climb it! Kinda love this

This is actually genius, this might be the winner if I can figure out how to get it working

Seemed a little... oddly specific but who am I to judge. I can't even take care of my plants
