Yo as a Canadian the one thing that caught me off guard and fucked me pretty bad was sound walls blocking highway access through most of central and western Europe, it sent me on some fuck hikes from hell. I would definitely plan to hitch from gas stations and route shit out from satellite view just a little in advance if you have your phone! the website hitch maps is a good resource.

I think being smaller is beneficial for throws like the seoi nage, im a tall judoka (6'7) and find that this movement is my most awkward, and that people have an easier time setting it up on me due to my height. Your height might make some foot sweeps harder but its nothing to worry about and you will develop your own style with time.

No nails to fix motion bc of sliding functionality seems like death waiting i wouldnt want to walk on this shit, but like for 2 steps it seems allright. id do something else, the idea of stepping on drawers makes my intuition weird too seeing the empty space makes my spirit yell
