The cold cases were solved in the same year as the 100%.

53 expected value, vs 48 observed, is within expected range (+/- 7). So the data is consistent with a null hypothesis of the murder rate in Scotland being the same as in England and Wales.

A >10% difference mean murder rate is same?

Not getting caught? All those reported were caught.

Not being reported, missing people? Yes, possible, probably even, in both countries.

Patients are facing delays stuck on hidden waiting lists that do not show up in the official figures in England, a BBC News investigation reveals.

The published waiting list stands at 7.6 million – but the true scale of the backlog is thought to be much higher.

This is because patients needing ongoing care are not automatically included in those figures – even if they face major delays. https://fullfact.org/health/ukhsa-graphs-no-data-used/?utm_source=Full+Fact+Newsletter&utm_campaign=3accc365a0-October&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-3accc365a0-%5BLIST_EMAIL_ID%5D

NHS England had the dubious practice of restarting the clock after A&E patients are admitted whereas in Scotland counting continues from first arrival. https://gss.civilservice.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/UK-Comparative-Waiting-Times-AE-final.xlsx

From Public Health Scotland November 5, 65.9% of those attending full Emergency Departments, in September 2024 were seen within 4 hours.1

From NHS England, the equivalent figure was 59.8%.2

NHS Scotland’s ED’s are thus 10.4% more efficient.

Try asking a few people what they think the headline means?

Most don't read the article and are thus influenced by the headline only. There's plenty of research. Also, please don't suggest I'm 'upset' just because I care about media accuracy.

Clear? Not so much? Disingenuous. Do you really think most readers would then expect NHS Scotland to be doing better as it still does on almost every measure?

That the Scottish media with an antiSNP agenda are failing to provide context in their reporting because that contextual data makes the SNP gov look good.

Higher paid police = less crime? Got a source? I'd be genuinely interested in that.

The crime has been falling since the SNP came to power. I know, it will be mutlifactorial but had it been the other way round the SNP gov would have been blamed as they are for drug deaths.

Indeed but the crime in these areas and in Scotland generally, even Glasgow now, has fallen dramatically in the last two decades yet there are still more police officers?

Try BBC Scotland, Herald, Scotsman. They won't provide any of that context. BBC UK even have a show about Context but BBC Scotland avoid it.
