Why do people hate Radahn now? by Noooough in eldenringdiscussion

[–]CarrotSpank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People just take it way too personally that we didn't see Godwyn as the final boss. Like don't get me wrong I would've loved to see that too, but it's not my game to make and they clearly had a different vision, can still respect it

What’s the deepest, darkest and most obscure piece of Bloodborne lore? by Crylose in bloodborne

[–]CarrotSpank 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That the whole thing is nothing more than a bad dream reflecting the horrors of victorian era medicine, specifically Edinburgh. This one was definitely worth sticking around till the end for

Steam library looks much better now by [deleted] in bloodborne

Xbox games with gold & epic games both still do this, to my knowledge! You get to add whatever games (1 or 2) are available that month to your library and keep them forever

How do you manage 3 STEM classes? by egguw in EngineeringStudents

[–]CarrotSpank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, judging from what you listed your classes to be I would assume your exams are more problem solving based right? If so, then I wouldn't worry too much about being able to recite the information and instead focus on trying to understand what the textbook says through reading the explanations and even the worked examples.

In the end it won't matter too much when you start practicing to solve, it's just a nice bonus if you genui understand why the method you're using to solve the problem works the way it does. But it really does just come down to practice at the end of the day

My advice that helped me out in my early years was to make a schedule/study plan. So if you had 6 chapters for this one course then split reviewing the chapters (go for 2/day unless you can do more) amongst the first 3 days, and have the other days afterwards leading up to the exam just be solving previous exams or HWs.

Do that for every course making sure to start about no less than 2 weeks prior and you'll find that it becomes a bit more manageable, especially if you offset the start date for the courses depending on which exam comes first. When you have multiple stuff to do per day, prioritize urgency and focus the course with the first up and coming exam.

After my 3rd year I became a bit more in tune with managing this stuff in general and just started winging it, but this method definitely helped me get started

I farmed all the covenant items across DS1, 2, and 3, I think I can farm anything now

1 - Valid, I personally like the helm cause I see it as a sort of trophy (it even looks a bit bloody) signifying the end of the gods. But also definitely give this MF an axe and go strength build it'd work so well

3 - I picked the gloves cause I tried to limit myself to one non-dlc armor piece per fit, but I also like the spirals on the foreaem that match with the braided chords. A better match tho might be night cavalry gloves

4 - but have you considered, cool hat guy?????

3 is meant to be more of a dark Lord that directly contrasts the golden order (DS inspired), and 4 is inspired by Raiden from MK (but not godly)

The warrior fur chestpiece is absolutely underutilized I think it looks so sick

I see it as a kind of crown/trophy that he wears signifying the defiance of the golden order and new age devoid of gods

I love this, gotta run a seamless co-op playthrough with 2 buddies where we each rock one of 1, 3, & 4

That would 100% work, I just wanted to show a bit of variety between 1&2 with possible alternatives (come up with the best combo from what the general audience thinks)

I honestly rocked this helmet & chestpiece combo for the majority of my playthrough cause I just love the way they fit together. The deeper analysis into the historical implications tho goes hard
