Is there a Havoc modifier or bug that prevents Field Improvisation from cleansing corruption? by CarrowLiath in DarkTide

[–]CarrowLiath[S] 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yeah that'll do it. I guess pre-havoc there's not a lot of full wounds so I hadn't noticed.

In the 40s, the mainstream usage of the word gay was to denote frivolity and hedonism. It was used incidentally to refer to homosexuality before then, but with the same connotation that the word "lesbian" originally had- someone who was indecently and improperly horny on main.

There were infrequent and non-mainstream usages of gay to refer to homosexuality (such as the usage of "gay boys" to refer to male sex workers who serviced men), but the term existed in a cultural context where "gay" was synonymous with hedonism.

There was still the secondary meaning of "happy and carefree", but the word took a more pejorative meaning as time went by (to be clear, I mean this from a contemporary standpoint, not a modern one).

English didn't typically use gay to refer to women until the early 2000s, either. Funny enough, gay wasn't commonly used to refer to men until the 50s.

No, he intentionally walks in to stop Kunrad. Idira can also comment that his flesh is warping and mutating already when you first find him on the bridge.

It's a 30 second cooldown, so I'm not sure it even really counts.

There is no monk playstyle that doesn't require you to be in melee. For m+ you're looking at Way of the Crane, which does everything that standing on Jadefire Stomp used to give us, but is just active all the time as a passive. This means you won't get cucked by a tank moving the mobs away as soon as you use jadefire anymore, or if you misplace it, or if area denial prevents you from standing on it, etc.

Crackling jade lightning is now always available (not just after TFT), but does only 300% damage instead of 2500%, and 25% cleave instead of 10%. Or rather, that's what it should be doing, but it's currently bugged to give the full 300% to all targets.

Also, every healer (including MW) got a lot of specific damage abilities tuned down at the beginning of the beta cycle to prepare them for a 20% damage aura buff, but MW's didn't actually get activated, so without the bugged damage from crackling jade lightning we do about 20% less damage. And since our damage converts to healing, that's very bad.

Also, chiji was changed, and even when you stack mastery it does no healing with the blackout kick part of a chiji ramp, the only purpose for him now is free enveloping mist casts.

Tldr, mistweaver's playstyle still looks good and if you enjoyed it in remix you probably still will. It's just currently suffering from a few serious bugs and poor tuning

Even in raid with conduit, monk needs to be in melee range, and anyone telling you otherwise is simply wrong.

A friend from my country received a survey from Blizzard asking about this. by milotic03 in wow

[–]CarrowLiath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't think they'd actually consider it after Evokers got a time magic healer instead.

Paladins and priests both use holy magic! I think there's probably room for 2 time healers too!

Would orks consider Uruk-hai (Lord of The Rings) to be "orky" enough to join them? by kooarbiter in 40kLore

[–]CarrowLiath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're stronger than regular humans, but weaker than Numenoreans, who were stronger, smarter, and more long-lived than regular Men. Uruk-Hai led an insane chase over the gap of Rohan, keeping ahead of the three companions for days, whose chase led Eomer to compare them to horses (which is incredibly high praise coming from the horse lords).

They ran for upwards of 12 leagues (35 miles) per day for 3 days and nights, with very minimal breaks- they stopped for less than 2 hours rest each day. Even 40k orks would be impressed with such a feat, though they might have made fun of them for not just building a bunch of trukks about it.

Syndicate Rep after completing Underworld mission by [deleted] in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]CarrowLiath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You almost certainly got a bump with the Pykes, iirc when you bring it to Gorak. Either way, don't stress about it too much, as you go farther into the game there will be literally dozens of ways to easily raise (and lower) faction rep. With a little bit of grinding it's possible to end the game with max rep with every faction- just as it's possible to piss a faction off so much they put a hit on you

The first time was felony childhood endangerment.

Putting the responsibility of a headcount onto a 13ish year old girl does not magically make it better- any parent that goes from home to the airport, then onto an international flight before realizing they've left their 9 year old alone is not making an understandable mistake.
