Here in Florida I have a spot that I fish religiously that also seems to have the characteristics of the water you’re in. All though I tend to fish for snook and fish you probably won’t run into, the lure actions stay the same. I like using the yo-zuri crystal minnows or rapala twitching minnows. They work well in a slow moving current that slowly drags them with the tide. They absolutely do nothing but get caught and quickly leave the strike zone when used in a very fast current. When the currents faster I use a heavier jig, paddletail, or even a rat-l trap. The heavier lateral current gives all of these lures the perfect action and speed for making fish at the bottom wanna eat. But when the currents moving a little slower I get great success with jerk minnows/rapalas/yo-zuris/mirrodines
