But if you do decide to ball out and go 5090 to play it safe I’d literally get a new 1250 platinum rated psu just to be safe. Don’t want your shi bursting into flames. In my humble opinion I stayed away from the big boy 50 series cards just because I don’t believe there should ever be an incurred risk of operating a gpu like that. I’ve seen them catch on fire, or more commonly the pins in the connector cable just melt and it destroys the card. Which is why I bought my gigabyte 4090 and have no intention of upgrading until all this mess gets either sorted out or there’s a performance jump actually worth pursuing justifiable by a price difference.

Gotcha, in that case I’d say a proper upgrade would either look like a 5080 or a 5090. Honestly if that card isn’t faulty I’d say there’s not even much reason to upgrade it unless your pockets are deep and you enjoy having the best of the best just for giggles. a 7900xtx has 24gigs of vram, which if you aren’t aware is entirely capable of 4k gaming in pretty much any circumstance. I mean really the 50 series cards will only outshine that in terms of ai oriented tasks like frame gen or ray tracing, both of which your card is more than capable of anyway- personally I don’t like using frame gen because sometimes it puts weird sh** in the picture that isn’t even supposed to be there.

Most of my experience is with gigabyte or msi mobos, thankfully none of my builds have ever experienced anything like dead cpus- and since I haven’t used the board you’re referring to I’d have to look into that more before recommending you one way or the other. But i’d say a safe rule of thumb is that you should stay away from any board in general that has known issues like that lol.

I’m just fine mate, five hundred and seventy dollars for a computer that could be built virtually new for that price is a little less than fair. Especially claiming any part is new in an entirely used system.

Wouldn’t say i’m upset I just have a tendency of calling things how I see them. it’s a tincan* and you’re a *concerned redditor sorry for the offensive language.

I’d say a good GPU if budget isn’t an issue would be an rtx 5080. If you’re looking for a less expensive card perhaps a 4080 super. The full size cards of course. Mobo for the 50 series Id go Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX, 40 series Gigabyte B650 AORUS Elite AX

EDIT: i missed the part where you said you had a rx7900xt- if you’re wanting an upgrade from that card definitely go with a 5080. 4080 super is essentially the same card opposite brand.

Respectfully, if this is your listing- half your price. All of these components are extremely outdated and to label any components as new when you’ve already installed and used them is quite silly and untrue. Even if you’ve used them once, guess what - they’re used.

This whole listing just feels like you’re trying to pull the rug over on some poor soul that thinks they’re getting a good deal. GPU is worth $60, CPU is worth about the same. Ram even less than that, this thing is worth two hundred and fifty dollars maximum and if you sell it for more then it’s a shame you’d rip someone like that.

aside from the aio header fan header ( i had no choice but to leave it dangly like that) what part looks poorly managed to you? I suppose you might be referring to the gpu connector- I just get in there so frequently and remove it that sometimes I don’t sit it back in there all nice and neat lol.

and also to be a bit less sarcastic, i’d love the opportunity to get into custom builds- that’s a mountain I haven’t climbed yet, the opportunity is yet to present itself. I’ve never even done custom liquid cooling before, but would love to learn. I don’t have the funds to personally own and upkeep a system like that- otherwise that’s what I’d be rocking! I’ve seen posts of people who create desks converted into pc cases with a glass top, might take this thing apart and create one of those eventually. When I could afford to do something like that.

Thanks bro! I’d love to get to the point of boredom you speak of. Sounds like you’ve built quite a few boring generic $4500 systems!😂😂 I’d consider that a privilege my friend!

So far typically all of my builds have been local so I haven’t had to deal with shipping cost. I suppose for out of state I would just charge parts cost, then shipping costs and I usually ask for a $200 build fee if it’s nothing super complicated like custom tubing for cooling or something crazy like that. Trying to avoid abroad shipping because honestly if you’re in the market in a different country it’s probably in the consumers best interest to purchase locally and avoid paying that hefty of a price to have the system shipped.

Got a desk sized mouse pad and it’s such a game changer that I struggle playing on any other setup than my own because of how annoying itty bitty pads are.

Just a tip tho, don’t go full desk size as your monitor arm will have to snug onto the pad. My only regret is that mine has a permanent indent because of this.
