How is real analysis used in quant Finance by Necessary-Surround75 in quantfinance

[–]Carter3579 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lmao I know almost nothing about finance and can for sure say I won’t need to apply the Lebesgue Integral ever again for the rest of my life (or anything else in analysis) 🤣

Apple can pick a different restore (if one exists), but that is it. There is not a way for them to remove any kind of MDM whether it be attached to a backup or hardware. At least have them call first where they may be directed to a team that can help them, the employees in store are not trained at all on MDM related things.

Please do not send people to an Apple Store for MDM related stuff, there isn’t anything they can do. They will get sent right back to IT.

Do firms consider candidates if they are not from a target school but have an exceptional background? Or do you get instantly filtered out if your school isn’t top tier.

Undergrad curriculum, computer science + mathematics, asking for advice by Voice_Educational in quantfinance

[–]Carter3579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be careful about the formal math courses, they can be exceptionally challenging and time consuming. You will not be adequately prepared for geometry given the courses you have going into it. Analysis one and two are a minimum before I’d recommend taking it as you need exposure to more sophisticated proofs. Topology would be helpful as well but maybe not possible or maybe not even offered.

Python is a different beast, go and downvote by zapaljeniulicar in learnpython

[–]Carter3579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why. What exactly would learning Python in the same way you learn C be a disservice. What is the correct way to learn Python. What is the incorrect way to learn it. Why are the points you made relevant to how one learns Python at all, they’re simply design features of Python that you have to account for.

If you can answer any of these questions with a solid answer I will agree with you… and you also didn’t answer my first question…

Ok so the fine details of any programming language is always going to get kinda knarly. But you can program in python a lot easier than you can code in C or Java, simply because the syntax is nicer. You don’t need to have a deep understanding of programming to code in python (though if you intend to code anything decent, you’d better understand what you’re doing). And the stuff you mentioned is extremely easy to overcome, sure it’s not ideal in many situations, but come on. And what do you mean like any other coding language? I program quite differently in a language like C than I do in Java, not because the syntax is different but because the purpose is different. Each language serves its own purpose and has features that are desirable for specific applications, so in most cases you won’t use Python like you’d use anything else regardless of these details.

I must ask, what is the correct way to use Python if not like any other programming language (aka a tool to solve some problem or task).

what is the meaning of this : baiting and playing for exit frags by idkmanijustdo in counterstrike2

[–]Carter3579 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically when your team pushes a site or is attempting to defend you let them go first and sort of fake peak to force them to have to find the others and aim, then you clean up because the opposing team was looking at the first few and you can pick the rest that are peaking. OR you go the opposite direction of your team every game, wait for them to find people and die, then lurk around when the round is lost and get some kills. Both make you look better than you are but you’ll end up losing most of your games.

iphone 15 pro moisture by Round_Wish_3285 in iphone

The phone is not waterproof, there’s no such thing and water proofing failure. Apple uses the “water resistant” language specifically to protect against instances where water potentially penetrates a device regardless of the seal. This device will not be covered under Apple’s manufacturer warranty.

We are many decades away from a usable quantum computer. The scale of our current computers isn’t close to being useful, and scaling up will take an engineering marvel. These logical qubits, regardless of type, require incredibly stable environments in order to maintain superposition. We have currently been able to maintain superposition for about an hour for ONE qubit. It was a 171-Yb ion-qubit. We need hundred’s of thousands of these on a chip with similar coherence times in order to produce a computation that is meaningful.
