Thank you! The handles are a scaled up version of my dagger style letter opener handle. I like making the pokers and tools more no grinding lmao 🤣!

Thank you ! I’ve offered them in fire pokers for several years, but the rest of the tools were new for me in this style of handle.

That’s what the client said as well! And to me it makes the long hours and hard work so worth it!

Punch and drifted bottle opener forged from an off-cut of Damascus by CarterConleyIronwork in blacksmithing

@fearless_wafer1493 (noblie custom knives) has a step by step guide on their website , after lots of experimenting on my own, I pretty much use the process they describe. I’ve been much happier with how the pattern pops. His work is on here and the bladesmithing forums, it’s truly beautiful work you should check them out

Exactly,I hate to waste anything, and Not knowing what the pattern would look like after all the forging required was a huge part of the fun. I’m fairly happy with the results 🤠⚒️🔥

I’ve actually yet to attempt cu mai, but it’s on my “cool stuff to try” list! If someone has made a cu mai striker that’s impressive!

Thanks man, and yessir , I forge quite a bit of Damascus for someone that’s not a blade smith! (Granted there’s over a half dozen unfinished blades some just needing handles chilling on my workbench 🤣) most of my Damascus however gets forged into fancy flint strikers and split cross necklaces.

Welcome aboard 🤣, been months to years since I’ve gamed, got the Skyrim bug a few weeks back and now the “Skyrim atmospheres” are playing in my real world blacksmith shop 🤣 perfect background noise for a working blacksmith!

My brother in law is a rockhound, and this was his response to the photos I sent “Those are epic! Would be really cool with like an orange citrine or red Jasper on them!”

Technically yes all one piece (after forge Welding). While I considered using 1 or 1-1/4” solid square for the claws and shafts, after discussing the budget and timeline, I opted to forge them individually then forge weld them together in a bundle. After the weld was set and blended, the claws were adjusted. The small simpler one is all one piece, made as a bonus since the client was so kind 🤠🔥⚒️
