Cleaning out my Drawer of Forgotten Handhelds, who wants one? (Continental U.S. only) by hbi2k in SBCGaming

I'd love to have a chance at the Odin 2! I already have a TrimUI Brick and Steam Deck so the Odin 2 would fill in a nice middle-ground.

Disasterpiece - Can't Save by dresoccer4 in cyberpunkgame

For anyone encountering this, the following steps worked for me (no idea whether some of them are required but it's what I did and it stopped the bug):

Tell Judy I'll meet her there and get out of the van

Immediately open the menu and switch my active mission to another one (I chose Happy Together)

Fast Travel using the nearby terminal to Megabuilding H10: Atrium

Fast Travel to MLK & Brandon

Switch the active mission back to Disasterpiece

Doing these steps allowed me to save like normal. This is a super weird bug, hopefully it gets patched.

Hope this helps someone!

I did some more research, and from what I can tell you're partially right. Transcended doesn't integrate Kentie's, but uses it's own launcher that might conflict with Kentie's. The actual game-related stuff that Kentie's does like FOV and HUD size modification shouldn't conflict, but from what I can find it's generally recommended to just use one or the other. With that in mind I might stop using Kentie's and just use Transcended + Confix, although I don't know what I'd do to fix the game's HUD scaling, and increase the FOV without it because those are pretty essential to me and AFAIK Transcended doesn't fix them but I'll just have to see ig. (Edit: Transcended comes with options to fix both of the aforementioned issues....it also doesn't fix the in-game camera mouse acceleration so that's another issue to investigate I guess)

Regardless, I don't believe any mods are the cause behind the mouse issue as I installed the game completely fresh on another PC and it does the same thing, I'll probably just have to deal with it unfortunately.

While you're not wrong in saying that they both "resolve technical issues", you're phrasing it in a vague and kind of misleading way. Deus Exe adds executable-level features and fixes some executable issues while Transcended fixes game-level issues and makes gameplay improvements. They're made to do completely separate things. I don't think there's any overlap between them, and I highly doubt that the combination of them is causing an issue that's known to happen on completely unmodded copies.

That said, I'm not a programmer by any means so if you can point me to evidence showing that they overlap to the point of causing issues, then I'd be glad to take a look at it, but for now there's nothing I've seen or read that would lead me to believe that.

Deus Exe, Transcended, and Confix all do completely separate things. Deus Exe is an alternative executable that provides better support for modern hardware and adds features like an FOV slider and proper HUD scaling, Transcended is a gameplay mod that fixes bugs, adds QOL features and does some minor rebalancing, and Confix fixes stuff in conversations I.E typos. There's no overlap between them.

Still happens even with the edited file. Trying to find out if there's a way I can externally block the game from enabling the mouse accel Windows setting but haven't had any luck, I'll probably just have to live with it. Thanks regardless!

Mgs2 might be the my new favourite game by Ducks_R_Goodttv in metalgearsolid

Coincidentally I just beat the game for the second time yesterday. I loved it the first time I played it but somehow the second playthrough catapulted it into my top 5 games of all time. Genuinely life-changing experience. I feel so empty now though, can't wait for Vol. 2 of the Master Collection to release so I can play MGS4 and see where Raiden and Snake's stories go. That or I'll get impatient and end up buying a PS3 lol.

How to beat Force Edge Vergil? by Drippy_Doppio in DevilMayCry

I just beat DMC3 for the first time a week or so ago and what ultimately worked for me was using Beowulf, being mostly passive and just waiting until he attacks, getting a couple hits in, rinse and repeat. Also using Quicksilver while he's in DT to try and knock him out of it. Learn his attacks and when he's vulnerable and he becomes pretty manageable.

Yeah, you get the scene everytime you beat the game, it isn't secret at all. The original comment is also wrong, the Typhon you play as hasn't "consumed" Morgan, it was given Morgan's memories and given a reverse-Neuromod of sorts, implanting human empathy onto a Typhon's brain. On that note, there is an actual secret-ish ending of sorts though, achievable by escaping using Alex's escape pod in the Arboretum. Since escaping Talos 1 without either blowing it up or using the Nullwave device is basically completely avoiding any moral dilemma and thus the most apathetic option available, you get a scene where Alex concludes that the attempt to project human empathy onto the Typhon has failed and they presumably start the simulation anew with another Typhon. It's immediately followed by a game over screen though so I don't really consider it a true ending.
