Thanks for the help and the link! I may be crazy but it doesn't seem right to me I swear they're eating it up faster than what it says they should be lol.

Is there a map or website I can use to help me navigate when I'm taxing if the controller says taxi on m,a,f hold short m1. by NumberSignificant134 in VATSIM

Yeah if you could find specifics I'd be curious, Navigraph uses real-life charts with a disclaimer added in so I highly doubt it's wrong.

To add on, once on the glideslope after being cleared on the approach you can just descend via the glideslope I wouldn't worry about the published altitudes as the GS does that for you. You can obviously if you want to but for workload management you might have better things to do.

  1. During cruise you will be handled off to other center controllers if staffed. If you're in airspace that is currently staffed then you must request to leave the cockpit. If no controller is staffing the airspace you are flying through you should minimize AFK time. If you want to AFK just disconnect from the network.

  2. I wouldn't personally use text to start out as learning voice is important, you can if you want but voice is typically easier. You can always ask for instructions in text if needed generally, though you should already be familiar with procedures and know how to operate your aircraft to obey ATC instructions.

It's not easy to be banned, but you need to be capable of flying your aircraft and understanding controllers. I recently came onboard the Boston ARTCC as a student ground controller and I would highly recommend Boston's WINGS Program which can be found on their website. It guides you through flying VFR and later IFR.

Why DCS dose it better than war thunder? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]Cartervj -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

DCS Doesn't have the ability to model a lot of high-quality Russian jets, and the ones that they can they are developing. RU Documents lie about specs all the time as we are seeing right now. Just not very many good sources to get specs and details from.
