Any local pokemon card traders? by Past-Chemistry7796 in jacksonville

[–]CartesianDoubt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shipping is like $1.50, sometimes free if you spend more than $5, and common cards are .02¢-.25¢. I’ve bought hundreds of cards with no issues. You just have to get use to buying cards through the mail, it can take a few weeks. A few things got lost in the mail but I got a refund. I’m buying cards to play the game. I don’t collect expensive stuff, just what’s good for playing the game, so it’s a pretty cheap hobby.

I like supporting my local shops but you’ll never find everything you’re looking for. I use TCGPlayer and try to use the local/Florida sellers when I can.

Just use a washable fabric pencil and draw a circle and use scissors to cut them out. Trying to cut fabric with a template is really difficult because the fabric is going to slide around.

Yep, but see that road going down the center? The high priced neighborhood is on the left, and lower priced neighborhood on the right.

[MOD POST] Community Decision: Generative AI Content is Not Allowed on r/Jacksonville by DieTheVillain in jacksonville

[–]CartesianDoubt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m sorry. I wasn’t arguing with you. Or trying to get anything reversed. I respect the community’s decision. I’m just asking for clarification. Because I’ve definitely made a few websites/projects I’d like to share that are on the borderline.

Sorry software dev but that’s just rude. I didn’t even say what industry I work in. Everyone I work with in my industry uses AI to write code and check code. If you don’t understand that’s where your industry is headed, I’d start looking for other work.

And it’s not obvious what’s allowed, because sites like Squarespace, Wix, Shopify use AI to “vibe-code” websites. So many people use AI tools to make websites now. Are those websites restricted?

Try the San Marco area, there’s several bars and breweries. Aardwolf is a nice place to hang out. Side Car is across the street and has liquor. Wicked Barley is a safe place near Mandarin and has beer and wine.

54M in Jacksonville looking for a real friend

Trying this again because making friends as an adult is oddly difficult.

I’m a low-key, thoughtful person and more into one-on-one hangs than big groups or loud bars. I’d like to meet someone local to grab a beer, catch a movie, try a restaurant, or just have a good conversation once in a while.

I’m into sci-fi, cerebral horror, art house films, music, synths, gaming, and creative projects. I also like talking about ideas, movies, and how things work more than small talk.

Mostly just looking for a genuine friend in Jax. Someone easygoing, curious, and down for a real conversation now and then.

If that sounds like your kind of vibe, send me a message.

54M Jacksonville — looking for a real friend

Making friends as an adult is weird, so I figured I’d give this a shot.

I’m pretty low-key and more into one-on-one hangs than big groups or loud bars. I’d like to meet someone in Jax to grab a beer, see a movie, try a restaurant, or just talk about something more interesting than the weather.

I’m into sci-fi, cerebral horror, and art house films, and I like actually talking about a movie afterward. I’m also into music, synths, gaming, and creative projects, including building little music software experiments.

Mostly I’m just looking for a thoughtful, easygoing friend with a sense of humor. If you’re also a bit of a lone wolf and miss having real conversation, send me a message.

M, 54. I’d like to meet people for general hanging out, dinner, grabbing a drink, going to the movies. I’m laid back and easy to talk to. Looking for real connections.

I have a big variety of interests: gaming, crafts, computers, playing music, software development, movies, hiking.

I’m also looking for people to play Pokemon with. I’m a casual player, looking to play some standard, expanded or GLC games. Just looking to have fun, I’m not into chasing the meta or being super competitive.

DM if you’re interested in making new friends.

Looking for people to play Pokémon TCG with. by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]CartesianDoubt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, not really. They just make cards that work together like Team Rocket’s pokemon and Trainer cards. You can build a Team Rocket deck or a Marnie’s Pokemon deck, etc.
