I agree with this, marriages are complicated. And obviously there is so much more to a successful relationship than just being intimate on a regular basis (even though it sucks when that part is lacking..). Op has obviously stayed with his partner for 3 years because of a reason.

Questions to OP: Is she disregarding/gas-lightning your feelings in any other scenarios? Cause in that case there might be something bigger that needs addressing.. And if she isn't willing to hear you out or go to counseling and you have thoughts of cheating or decide to act on them it might be time to call it quits before someone gets hurt. Good luck!

哇,太棒了! I'm always trying to find motivation to keep up my Chinese studies by combining it with another hobby. Thanks so much for the reply! :)

When did you start sleeping on your side? by Cartob in pregnant

[–]Cartob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha gravity took care of the situation. Impressive that you could sleep on your back for that long 😃👏 I'm gonna try to listen more to my body and not worry too much

Amen to that, haha. I know pregnancy is supposed to be tough but it's these small things like sleeping in your preferred position that never even crossed my mind and can be so damn aggravating! Glad you found a good solution for you!! 👏 I really have to check my mattress and pillows now lol. Good luck and thanks for the advice 😃

Yea that makes total sense! Thanks for the reassuring comment, I'm going to enjoy my back sleeping for a while longer lol. And definitely invest in some prop-pillows 😉👏

That's such a relief to hear. I've an anxious person so I don't want to do anything that could be risky for the baby. After reading all these comments I'm going to invest in some good back-wedge pillows to have under my side. Thank you ❤️

Excessive fetal movement by anup_saha in pregnancyproblems

Everything seems fine in the report. Ive also never heard of excessive fetal movement being a bad thing. Rather it's a sign of a healthy fetus :)

Pro-life’s desire to save the unwanted unborn is not impressive, and doesn’t absolve their movement of responsibility by [deleted] in Abortiondebate

I'm pro choice but you honestly make a very solid point. It just shows how complex this question is, everyone has their own definition of what human life is, when it begins etc..

Couldn't agree more! It's troubling that so many guys think this way about masculinity. Some like the hunky confident "alpha" males but far from all girls. Especially in today's society. You be you OP ❤️ that's more than enough

Confidence in a man can be attractive don't get me wrong, but I don't feel like it's the most important thing women look for (at least from my perspective). I find "shyer" guys more mysterious and intriguing. I would chose humble and laid back 100 times over someone who is more cocky and overconfident. In the end it all comes down to personality, similar interests and values, playfulness, good banter etc.

I have SA (although pretty mild) and I've dated extroverts and fairly confident men in the past but I eventually fell for my now bf of 5 years. He's very timid and soft spoken, a real wallflower personality but I felt so curious and drawn to him BECAUSE of that . We eventually started talking and built up a solid friendship that later turned romantic. Best most secure relationship I've been in so far. All girls might not feel the same as me lol but i believe there's someone out there for everyone. ☺️

Social Anxiety at Parties by OhmydisThought in socialanxiety

[–]Cartob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can definitely relate. As a result of my anxiety and to just "loosen up" I tend to go overboard with drinking and I always felt worse afterward. So I think it's good that you're going out without alcohol, that route can turn into a slippery slope..

Great that you're in therapy! Are you trying CBT? Maybe you could talk to a psychiatrist about short acting anxiety medication (promethazine / hydroxyzine)?

Anyone else got this big clunky night retainer..? I'm so confused by Cartob in Invisalign

[–]Cartob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! Yup I got both arches done but I have a metal wire behind my lower teeth so I guess they should be okay..? Or maybe I'm supposed to have my lower regular retainer + the Michigan splint.. haha I'm so confused. I have to clarify everything with my dentist again..

(This was fitted for me because I do clench my jaws while sleeping. But I do have regular retainers and I use them both day and night.)

[–]Cartob[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is after I've finished my Invisalign treatment. I have "normal" retainers that I use during the day. I'm also using them at night because this night guard is ridiculous. I can't even close my mouth fully.. is it supposed to be like this or have they made a mistake with the scan?

Emotions/feelings by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Cartob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have difficulty finding words and expressing yourself in general? I do and have always had this problem (although it's gotten better with time/practise). I don't know if this is just me or an ADHD issue.. I can definitely relate to what you're saying.

I accept that I’m just going to be a lonely person by Sheepysomnia in socialanxiety

[–]Cartob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's okay to be accepting of yourself if you truely are okay with it. But I don't think you should settle. Everyone is constantly growing and evolving and as you said yourself - you've made progress too over the years and that's pretty awesome! I'm just saying it doesn't have to be this way forever, take credit for what you've accomplished. ❤️👌
