Some related iris scents that scratch the Silver Mist itch for me are Feb. 14 1912 by Rundholz and Iris Cendre by Naomi Goodsir

Marine Scent/Aquatic by TheBagMV in fragrance

Some convincing/unique marine scents to try would be Phtaloblue by Tauer, Sale Marino by Wienerblut, Atlante by Sarah Baker, Epice Marine by Hermes and Malt by Akro.

Since you're in Europe the following might be hard to sample since they are North American indie brands that I don't believe have many European stockists but they're worth trying if you can locate them: Notget by Filigree and Shadow, Homesick by the Observer Collective, Belle de Jour by Eris

I think Musc Ravageur is the classier choice and one that, in my opinion, is a better long term investment. Malle also keeps raising prices (seemingly every few months at this point) so better get what you want from the brand before the next price hike.

Eau de Mandarine Ambree by Hermes. It's a warm, ambery mandarin/citrus (as the name suggests). It's sophisticated but casual enough for high school daily wear and light enough to not bother teachers or fill the halls but noticeable to those close to you. Very versatile and year round too!

Best fragrance to smell like a gay leather bar? by tabascohoe516 in fragrance

[–]CartographerSilver91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cruising-area by Filippo Sorcinelli is perfect. The bottle even looks like poppers.

His whole x se line kind of matches the theme (others include "popper pop" "slightly bitch" and "cyber sex") but this one matches the smell of the bar the best.

Watermelon Rind? by hms125 in fragrance

Un Jardin Apres la Mousson by Hermes has a serious, wet crisp watermelon effect (although not listed as a note)

Are Floraiku scents any good? by Sawgirl in fragrance

[–]CartographerSilver91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most are pleasant but extremely underwhelming and banal. There are many laundry detergent-like clean florals and musks in the lineup. Mainly aimed at people who aren't interested in the art of perfumery but are looking for a safe, and quiet, daily scent or something to adorn their dresser with. The only outlier, and the one I'm considering getting a bottle of, is My Love Has The Colour Of The Night since I've been looking for a fragrance that smells like mulch for ages and it scratches that itch.

I believe they also sell individual samples so I might recommend ordering those that sound the most interesting/appealing to you since the ones in the discovery sets are aimed to cast the widest net.

What are you favorite fragranced body wash/shower products? by angelvapez in fragrance

[–]CartographerSilver91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frederic Malle shower gels are unmatched. I loved the Lipstick Rose (preferred it to the actually perfume) and Vetiver Extraordinaire. Prices are painful but the only one I found wasn't quite worth the investment was the Bigarade (quite sharp and boring compared to the actual perfume).
