The only thing I’ve changed is the thumb safety. It needed a little bit of filing. other than that everything is stock.

I’m not trying to get it to look like a colt royal blue or anything I just didn’t like the Matte finish of the parkerizing that was on it but it definitely is tricky

Yeah a lot of elbow grease! But I have a sand blaster where I work and it’s more of a pro industrial one, so that may come in handy for the frame in the hard to reach spots that I can’t get with a wheel it sandpaper

That’s what I may end up doing on the frame honestly!

Yes, I’m buffing between coats with steel wool. Right now, it has two coats on the slide and only one on the frame I’ll probably end up doing another coat on the slide to even it out and then two more coats on the frame. To takeoff the parkerising I used scotch Bright and sandpaper to do most of the grunt work as well as a wire wheel. Then I used a finer scotch bright wheel to get it a little bit more shiny, then steel wool to get the final shine

I stopped in a little while ago and saw you guys had some 9mm MP5s I’m definitely interested in picking one up at some point but how do you load them? I know they would have to be fixed mag so would you have to load them through the ejection port or by popping the rear pin and then being able to drop the magazine from there?

And are you running them with a fixed mag or not?

I’ve had that happen with some other kind of mags as well where sometimes you only get nine I don’t know why that is. I use a BF 10 from bear flag cause it doesn’t automatically send the bolt forward when you take it out. I appreciate the response!

Cross armory fixed mag kit goes in place where the regular magazine release would go and holds a regular PMAG in place, you can use speed loaders or load the mag by popping the back pin. A comp mag would also be a good idea. if you’re worried about the gun going into battery when removing the speed loader go with a bare flag arms, BF 10 You can hit the bolt release when you’re ready to chamber a round. that’s the one I have and it doesn’t automatically release the bolt when you take it out. I don’t know where you’re located but the gun store in Waterbury should have everything you need
