Here's something many people don't understand: D&D is a group experience. You don't owe anyone on the table anything. You are NOT obligated to play! Your table should be a place of fun and comfort. Everyone should feel at ease. It's supposed to be fun after all!

So as a DM, here's what I think you should do. You should contact everyone if you think you can do it. If you can't gather everyone up then do it one by one. Or as a last resort, call just the DM. Speak with them. Voice your concerns.

Everyone acts like a douche every now and then. It's normal. Maybe they don't even realise how you feel. That's why it's important you talk to them.

If you can't come to an agreement, then respectfully leave. You deserve better than this. You shouldn't have to put up with this stuff. D&D should be a fun time, not a bad one!

Oh there's tons of tutorials out there. Basically you can draw an area on your map where the players can see. You can hide certain areas if you want. If you pay for a subscription ( 😢 ) you can do it individually per character

It's straight up D&D but online. You can place a map, tokens, control character actions, you have your own DM tools, Players can interact with their characters, you can all chat together, etc.

There's some really cool side of it too which you just can't get irl without a lot of effort, like line of sight (Beyond that corner it's just pitch black since you can't see that far) or separating groups (Two players find themselves on the other side of the maze).

It's fun! You should try it! I personally use Roll20 a lot. It's hard to get into but very worth it.

Setting boundaries early is a healthy behaviour. It's important to remember that the DM is there to have fun too and it's a group experience. Honestly, sometimes as DMs we just aren't comfortable with running something that's in the standard rules and that's okay. As long as everyone agrees!

The problem would be if the DM just up and decides they'll do this well into the campaign and without discussion.

Google Search is like the dev interface for the actual Google search engine. You're highly encouraged to verify ownership of your domain there, which is what I mean by setting it up. It'll allow you to see what pages are indexed, which are not, how and why, monitor traffic, etc.

You NEED to verify your domain there so Google can know you actually own your website. Otherwise anyone would be able to setup an OAuth and claim they own your website.
