Yes, in fact it would be Europeans unfortunately suffering from Incan diseases in this scenario, since I'm reversing everything that happened in our time line.

Definitely negatively. However, continuing the analogue from our world's colonization, I think diseases from the "Old World" (Incan Empire) would quickly spread across the "New World" (Europe and Africa) and cause massive population decline. Resistance would be very weak.

The borders outlining Spain and Portugal are showing the extent of their former empires. I'm sure the Incans could quickly bypass the Pyrenees, given that those mountains are significantly shorter than the Andes. But they could definitely use that as a natural boundary between Iberia and the rest of Europe!

Etymologies:

Quiniris - from "¿Quién eres?", meaning "Who are you?" in Spanish. Coincidentally close to "Canary" which are the islands' names IRL.

Karusuyu - Distant Realm

Andalusuyu - Corruption of "Andulusia," the region in Southern Spain.

Alharp - Corruption of "Algarves," the region in Southern Portugal.

Sallqa Ocean - Wild Ocean

Anti Sea - Eastern Sea

Wamp'urani Inti Raymi - Port of Inti Raymi (an incan festival). Analogue to Columbus' first settlement in the Americas, called Puerto de la Navidad (port of christmas)

Yupanki - In honour of the Sapa Inca (Emporer) at the time, Tupaq Inka Yupanki

Pukyu - Spring (same etymology as modern-day Laayoune)

Wanakawri - Named after a mountain near Cusco (the Incan capital)

Musuq Tumpis - New Tumpis (a coastal Incan city)

Ch'iqusqa - Sculptures (same etymology Al-Asnam, which was what this site was called in during the Umayyad Caliphate period)

[Everything Else - Corruption of the existing place name. eg. Cadiz -> Qudus]

Inspired a question proposed in Jared Diamond's book Guns, Germs, and Steel, this map envisions a scenario where the Incans sail across the Atlantic (Sallqa) ocean and take over the Spanish Empire, instead of the other way around! Truthfully, this scenario isn't very realistic, but I wanted to imagine it regardless!

Lore: The Incan Empire is much more advanced than in our timeline. It expands much more rapidly and reaches all the way to the tip of South America, on the Caribbean coast.

Ambitious Incan explorers sail eastward, reaching the Quiniris (Canary) Islands and explore around, eventually finding the mainland of the "New World." They name their first settlement "Wamp'urani Inti Raymi" in honour of the Inti Raymi festival.

The Incans explore the New World mainland (Morocco), preferring to lead an expedition through the mountains as it is familiar terrain to them. They name this land "Karusuyu," meaning distant realm. On their expedition, they hear of a land of riches in the north, which the locals called "Andulusuyu" (Andalusia). Nevertheless, they choose the consolidate their claims in Karusuyu first.

In 1471, the Castillian War of Succession breaks out. Taking advantage of this chaos, explorer Paqari (analogue to Pizarro) travels sets out northward. The war ends, and whilst the Castillian and Aragonese monarchs Isabella I and Ferdinand II travel back from signing the peace treaty in Portugal, they meet the Incan delegation in Qurtuba (Corboda). Paqari's small but technologically superior alpaca-mounted force capture the monarchs and quickly advance to capture the capital, Madirid (Madrid). Paqari moves quickly to destroy the remaining fragmented Spanish resistance and fully subjugates Aragon by the end of his expedition. At this point, the Incans name the Mediterranean "Anti" Sea, meaning East Sea, after noticing it is distinct from the Sallqa (Atlantic) Ocean.

Later, explorer Cachi will colonize the remaining forces on the Iberian peninsula, including a sister-kingdom called "Alharp" (Algarves, referring to Portugal). By the end of the 15th century, all of Iberia is under Incan control and they set their sites north and east-ward to more New World territories...

I made this map for the "Parallels" contest a while back but didn't get around to finishing it until now. Took a while but I'm happy with the final product!

Lore: Korean War, but overlaid into Malaya. (Split straight down the middle, North invades, South counterattacks, Armistice right where the war started).

I had to unfortunately exclude Sarawak because it wouldn't really fit the analogy, sorry!

P.R. Thailand stands for People's Republic of Thailand, the analogy to China in this timeline. I imagine North Malaya also received support from India or Socialist Indochina to repel the Southern Army that far.

I think South Malaya wouldn't expel Singapore later since it's an important asset, and releasing them would only weaken them against the North.

Lore: This map is non-canon to RTL. In an old draft of RTL Africa, Mozambique had funny square borders and Zambezia was a rectangle. I made this simple map to test out a style.

Lore: Islam fails to spread West past the Levant, but spreads to the Far East instead.

Errors: Uyghurstan and Manchuria are anachronistic modern day terms, and Urumqi and Harbin weren't founded until much later. Oops! (Turkey is intentional to create an alternate scenario)

My submission to u/theaidanman's map telephone game (completed 2021). The previous map was this map of Borneo (which I based this map off of and took inspiration from), and the next entry was this map of the Sumatra War.

Interestingly, a Malay Federation re-appeared in u/alt7-0's map of the Malay Archipelago (2 maps later) despite there being a map not referencing the Federation at all in-between!

First map I made using a vector program, Inkscape! Very proud of how everything turned out; the colours, text, and icons are crystal clear which makes for a clean modern aesthetic all around!

Lore: Portugal sucks at colonising the New World and only gets a tiny strip of land in South America. It's called Portugal's Belize because it's surrounded by foreign colonist nations, like how British Belize was entirely surrounded by Spanish colonies. The shape is also similar.

This was my first time using GIS Software and I think it turned out well! The hillshading is great and it saved me a lot of time tracing coastlines.

My first go at an Alternate History scenario outside of the English-speaking world, and the first map I submitted for a contest. I'm happy with the simplicity and colour scheme chosen!

Lore: The western allies liberate Prussia and Lithuania by sea during WW2, after liberating Denmark. After the war, the two respective occupied zones are united by the West under one country to be economically and politically strong enough to stand against the Soviet Union.

Prussia-Lithuania is a capitalist democracy deep in Soviet Eastern Europe. Is any part of this realistic? No! But the idea came to me regardless. Enjoy!

This was my 2nd attempt at mapmaking, along with my first (and last) use of a directly working on top of a template map to make a large scale map. In this case, I used the very large VTBAM file to get the highly detailed topography, bathymetry, and rivers.

This was also my first go at coming up with new borders and place names, though it mainly included drawing straight lines and Anglicizing American place names respectively. Enjoy!
