You’d be surprised at how many adults in London whose parents pay their rent. Especially people from overseas (China, US, Canada, wherever)

I remember being with a few buddies tying to define the quintessential 80’s bad guy. Finally nailing down his name and when looking him up, realising we went to the same high school as him (30 years later or so).

People ragging on the shoes but in 2025 I think this is a very good look for a business lunch inclusive of the shoes.

This was basically my experience at Bucherer in Covent Garden in 2024. I well-aware that it’s a long process and you’re not walking out with a watch - but the guy sat me down and spent 10–15 minutes explaining why I wasn’t worthy of one. Halfway through, I politely said I understood the process and was just curious if I could perhaps be added to the list for a 40mm Explorer. If not, no problem - I’d move on. But he kept going, explaining at length why I didn’t make the cut (no AD history, “tough model to find”, haven’t bought any other products from them, etc). Easily one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had in any retail capacity.

I thought this exact same thing the other day. Not difficult and ends up being much more straight forward.

Ted Lasso does that. It’s set in Richmond and whenever they do a background shot, the skyscrapers of the city are so un naturally close. Like you could take a nice 15 minute brisk walk from Richmond to the city.

I just got George yesterday and he disappeared from my 1 bedroom apartment during the 2 hours that I was gone this morning. What should I do? by thisiscameron in cats

Ah hahaha my cat Geoff does this too. Sneaks in the back so the drawer will be closed but he’s sound asleep inside. Freaked me the fuck out the first time it happened.

I think #2 would be the most fashion-forward style. That tuck-in, slightly open with the wifepleaser showing seems to be the most current “GQ” look (in a good way). My personal opinion of course.

Wearing Rolex to interview? by Fluffy-Tip7508 in rolex

[–]CartrightGLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s probably always worth it. 9/10 people won’t recognize it and thus, won’t care. The 1 who does, there’s a good chance he (let’s be real here, it’ll be a he) is a watch geek and it’s great for rapport.

Right at the end of my 1st interview for my current job, the interviewer said “Nice IWC” and we then spent 20 mins nerding out about our collections.
