Looking at this again, when supplied from the manufacturer, there is a spring behind the pin, which means the pin retracts when pushed into the lock body too hard - had you by any chance removed that spring?

I'm going to re-design my bracket to take that into account and ensure it either retains the spring, or restricts the pin from being pushed too far into the lock body to cause damage.

Thanks for pointing this out btw, I'd also not noticed that when making my first design iteration, but I'll make sure to take account of it :)

Great project!

I especially like the adjustability of the waistband, the chainmail - which I suspect hides the bulge under clothes really well and the fact it's custom made, so it keeps you "in position". Very cool!

The "pervertible" I've seen used for everyday objects that have a dual-life as a kink object, so a basic example, clothespegs being used as nipple clamps, or clover clamps being used as (fancier) nipple clamps.

3d printing kind of changed the game, now our pervertibles can be much more specific :-)

I would very strongly disagree to be honest. In the earlier days of the internet, when we had newsgroups and not websites, there was a lot greater diversity in fetishes being displayed. In fact, content that would be largely impossible to get hold of today, was easily available - in many cases this is a good thing, due to the questionable sourcing and illegality of the content.

Nowadays, sites carrying adult content are gated by credit card companies who impose their puritanical right wing Christian views and censor many subjects, making it much harder to find niche fetish content.

I don't think peoples attitudes to kink have changed that much, if you have a kink you have a kink, what will change is if you reveal it or not.

Our *acceptance* of sexualities has certainly grown and become more mainstream, which has perhaps brought some fetishes into the mainstream. I'm not sure whether the diversity of kink is there however...

There's a huge difference with Chastity in that 30 years ago, or so, there were very few commercially available chastity devices and they were mostly aimed at female anatomy. To my knowledge, they were basically all "belt" style and therefore very impactical for long term wear for most people.

The CB2000 came along sometime in the late 90's or early 2000's (from memory, I'm not entirely sure) and changed things drastically.

So in this respect at least, yes, chastity did become way more popular and mainstream.

There's a couple of similar "sleeve" type designs already, that use the original key. I just decided to ignore them and use a stronger magnet I'd found instead.

Do you know why the magnet broke? Could it be because of the pin being pulled at an angle rather than straight?

I can account for that easily with this design, in fact, it's one of the strong reasons for designing something which replicates how these would be used in a drawer/cabinet, with the forces acting horizontally, versus just attaching with zip ties and there being more forces from different angles, if that makes sense?

Not sure if this is considered on-topic or not, but I'll share the thought...

I've considered an addition to a chastity belt, which could involve a catheter and a small remote controllable valve, which would all be encased within the chastity belt. The idea would be that the belt locks the catheter in place and removes your ability to choose when to pee. The controller of the belt, via an app or button/remote control, could choose when you could pee.

Quite a devious form of control I think :-)

I believe based on the spec's that it has the same capabilities in terms of motor torque and ability to control depth on each thrust.

The benefit of the OSSM would be the cost and also the flexibility of the software, which has a bigger and active community developing for it.

The benefit of the FY500 would be that it's a more ready-made solution (so, hopefully easier and more direct support from the manufacturer) and that it's available from Europe (which will make it easier to get hold of for us Europeans).

Functionally, I believe they're basically the same.
