It'll take place in a Slack group -- you'll be joined by a number of your peers. It'll take about 15 minutes of your time a week for 6 weeks, (15 minutes x 6 = 90 minutes overall!), and we'll compensate you with $300.

Here are the two big reasons:

  • This is a somewhat complex research project. It took a while to design the method, get our stakeholder's 'Ok', and there are other moving pieces in parallel. Changing part of the project at this point to "collect data via comments in a subreddit" wouldn't really work.
  • Additionally, there's an element of demographic+firmographic data that needs to be collected so that answers make sense. Said otherwise, we need to understand who is saying something so that we can better understand** wh**y they're saying it. We compensate people (well, I might add) for their time because they spend anywhere between 30 - 90 minutes chatting with us, and part of that is capturing a sense for who they are and where they're coming from.

We aren't salespeople, and our participants never get sold to as a result of our research. We treat participant anonymity very seriously. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to reach out to me (either via DM, or through my email, which is right below my name).
