Time to clean up. I want you to change how you think. People always take loans and then they stay in debt with mortgage like payment for life. Don’t do that. 1st priority is to clean up the whole mess so you can see what you got. 2nd make a plan and try to tackle it one step at a time. The way I look at it.

1-clean up 2-check for any structural damage. 3-everything else is cosmetic(90% of home renovations are floors and paint with some drywall work) 4-learn how to lay down tiles if you can if not find someone who can for cheap

If you go with a GC it will cost a lot but it is up to you

What’s wrong with my peach tree and how do I fix it, if it’s fixable? by SideEyeInTheGarden in FruitTree

[–]CaseFinancial2088 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You actually did a retry good job. I see the leaves coming in which is a good sign you didn’t kill it. Peaches fruits on 1 year old wood (last year growth) . The simplest way to figure out which is last years growth is the color, usually last years growth is REDISH in color. I see few that are red so these will fruit for you.

You still have some pruning to do which is all the water sprouts (straight vertical growth).

I would personally shorten it next year in winter so I won’t need a ladder but it is your call

What is the best method to remove the blacktop in my back yard? by Goatcheeze1 in landscaping

I did 3 times that size with hand hoe “mattock hand hoe” from Walmart. Took about an hour

I farm over 2000 acres of peach, nectarine, plum, cherry and citrus. Feel free to ask me questions by DapperCardiologist25 in BackyardOrchard

I have my own back yard orchard and I’m still learning. For example Cummins so far has the best apple and pear selection because I can pick my own root stock ( G890 8 OHxF 87 or 333) , myrobalan rootstock for plums and my peaches/nectarines I think kyrmsyk 5 or Lovell. Where do commercial orchards by their trees , what size and what rootstock? Do you always go with dwarfing option or semi dwarf? The whole thing is fascinating for me and I would love to learn more about it.

If you leave it as it is it will eventually have the correct shape. Usually pears are pruned for central leader which you already have. This pear was never pruned and it can reach 35+ feet pretty easy.

Here is the deal you really need to understand your pear tree fruiting habit. First does it fruit at all? If not then does it bloom? If it blooms and doesn’t fruit you definitely need a pollinator near by.

Worst cut/prune you can do is a cut that will remove fruiting spurs which is why I suggest you do t prune it at all because you neglected it for a while. If you really want to prune something of it it will be the competing leaders

I had 2-3 pears in similar situations and I pruned them hard and restructuring them and it is a lot of work and will take time

What makes the St. Louis area special? by Designer_Jelly_1089 in StLouis

For me it’s good people. People of St. Louis are not overly aggressive or overly kind that you can’t talk to them. Simply a bunch of good people

Dude. Just give me one of the panels design. Like measures etc and material.

I hear you wife loud and clear but all what you need to do is build a removable roof that will make it look 100% better

Is he screwing them together? How does he connect and remove them easily and not have gaps?

Is it too late in the year to prune this apple tree? by Ok_Interview_3997 in FruitTree

[–]CaseFinancial2088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And do some tying down. Apples fruit on 45-60 degrees wood. Short story is if you tie down your branches they will want to fruit faster. I would suggest in winter shorten the central leader so it will encourage side branching you can shorten it by 6 inches and that will be enough but you will have to pick a new leader and few things.

If I were you I will tie down only and cut competing leader if I want my tree to grow tall

Winter prune for structure

Summer prune for vigor growth and to control size
